OAKHURST — Yosemite Badger Wrestlers are on the mat! Yosemite Badger Youth Wrestling includes kindergarten through high school senior athletes.
After traveling to Lodi, Dinuba, and Morro Bay, the Yosemite High School team duals at neighboring Mariposa this Tuesday, Dec. 11.
“Most of our high school team are new to wrestling and are gaining experience,” says head coach Kent Lincoln.
“Our four practiced wrestlers are competitive and representing our program very well.”
Elementary age wrestlers practice at YHS following the high school practice and at Rivergold School. A youth sign-up will be held at Rivergold this Thursday, Dec. 13, at 5:30 p.m. USA Certified Coach Lincoln and his certified assistants, Kyle Lincoln, Michael Ripley, and Jeff Guynn, are actively involved with all ages.
Wrestling teaches our youth determination, self-discipline, respect, and the resolve to keep fighting through adversity while having fun in a healthy environment. If you would like to learn more about Yosemite Badger Youth Wrestling, please contact Booster President Jeff Guynn at 559-676-1091.
