A failure to yield on a red turn signal resulted in a two-car accident at the intersection of Highways 41 & 49 on Saturday, Oct. 27.
At about 11 a.m. Greg Foster, 63, of Raymond, traveling north on Highway 41 in a 2003 Ford pickup, was waiting at the red light to make a left turn onto Highway 49.
When the light turned green for the two right lanes for traffic continuing north, Foster proceeded into the intersection to make his left-hand turn, even though the light was still red for the left-turn lane, according to the CHP’s accident report.
Foster collided with a 1999 Acura, driven by Mark Rosenblum, 55, of West Long Branch, NJ, who was traveling southbound on Highway 41, according to the CHP.
No injuries were sustained by anyone involved in the accident.
