Workshop On Understanding Difficult Dementia Behaviors

OAKHURST — Are you someone who takes care of a family member with dementia-related behaviors, or do you know someone who is?

If so, please note that Valley Caregiver Resource Center is planning a free workshop for family caregivers.

It’s available so people can learn important strategies on how to respond and cope with the common dementia-related behaviors, including aggression, agitation, hallucinations, paranoia, repetitive speech/actions. They will also share information on how to handle common challenges such as bathing, wandering and sundowning.

The free workshop takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon, at Oakhurst Lutheran Church, located at 39255 Black Road.
