OAKHURST – The Valley Caregiver Resource Center invites the family caregiving community to a workshop, “To Place or Not To Place,” on Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Oakhurst Lutheran Church. The workshop is free to family caregivers. Organizers ask the question, “if a crisis occurs, will you be prepared?”
The workshop is intended for family caregivers that are considering, planning, or just needing more information about long-term care options. Family caregivers will also learn when and how to select a new home for their loved one and ways to cope with the transition and placement. Pre-registration is required as class size is limited. Some financial assistance is available for respite care.
Oakhurst Lutheran Church is located at Road 426 and Black Road.
