Winter Storm Watch In Effect Above 7,000 Feet

MOUNTAIN AREA — A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from late Friday night, Nov. 3, through Sunday afternoon, Nov. 5, according to the National Weather Service. The Winter Storm Watch is for the high country above 7,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada, from Yosemite to Kings Canyon County.

Heavy snow is possible, and difficult travel conditions are expected as a result. The area forecast is for a total snow accumulation of 8 to 15 inches, with localized amounts up to 21 inches possible. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow accumulations that may impact travel. Please continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
