Wind Event Warning In Yosemite

Important Message From Yosemite National Park

YOSEMITE – A high wind warning is in effect starting today, Tuesday March 23, 2021, from 1 pm until tomorrow at 5 am. The forecast calls for wind gusts up to 45 mph in Yosemite Valley, 35 mph in Wawona, and 70 mph at higher elevations.

Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines.

Be prepared as power outages are expected. Travel may also be difficult so only travel if absolutely necessary and watch for debris on roads.

Also, avoid being outside in forested areas as there could possibly be falling limbs and trees.
