Win Cash & Prizes At “Paddle Palooza” On Bass Lake

BASS LAKE — Paddle your way to cash and prizes on beautiful Bass Lake as Bass Lake Boat Rentals hosts their first annual “Paddle Palooza” on Saturday, May 7.

“This is a great day for everyone who wants to have some fun on a paddle board — referred to as a ‘SUP’ in our biz — kayak or canoe,” says Tommy Tuso of Bass Lake Water Sports. “Come alone, bring the significant other, or grab the whole family and have a great outdoor experience. Heck, bring the dog!”

There’s plenty of water in the lake, and lots of fun to be had. Cash and prizes will be awarded for each event, and all proceeds go to supporting a great cause — The American Cancer Society.

Tuso says El Niño showed up enough to rock the lake, which is nearly full. “The spillway is closed. The lake is filling and will be at max capacity by Memorial Day.”

The folks at Bass Lake Water Sports wish to give a special shout out to the Yosemite High School Leos club and the Mountain Lions Club for their help and support.

Everyone is invited to come on out and paddle the day away, rain or shine. Events start at 9 a.m., and winners and prizes will be announced after lunch.

Your registration fee includes events for which you are age-eligible, as well as lunch (burger, fries and a drink). Pre-registration can be done online by forwarding the registration form to basslakewatersports@hotmail.com and calling with a credit card, and costs $10 less.
