Win A Cord Of Wood – Support The Library

NORTH FORK – Raffle tickets are now on sale for a cord of wood, with proceeds going to help support the North Fork Friends of the Library (FOL).

Tickets for the wood, which was donated by Rob Russell, can be purchased at the library, and will also be on sale at the Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 1 at the North Fork Town Hall.Donation is just $1 each, or 6 for $5 to win the half oak, half mixed pine and cedar cord, cut and split into 16″ lengths.

With funds from the County very limited these days, the FOL has stepped up to provide many of the extras needed to help librarian Sarah Lingenfelter bring special events to the library.

Those events include the summer reading program, the recent playwriting workshop and Jean Chaffee kids program about the Fresno Zoo. FOL also makes monthly contributions toward the cost of providing WiFi, buying books, magazine subscriptions and videos.

The drawing will be held on Wednesday night, Dec. 12, at the conclusion of the Christmas sing-along at the Library, and last-minute tickets will be available at the event that evening. Need not be present to win.
