Weather Thursday: High Confidence For Low Impact

Hanford Dec 3 2015MOUNTAIN AREA – You won’t be needing the heavy rain gear this week, as forecasts from the National Weather Service in Hanford, California predict a low-impact event Thursday evening, with a cold front bringing the chance of light snow above 5,500 feet and some rain to fall in the foothills.

Overall, they say, weather will have minimal impact on the area, just brushing the Central California Interior.

Rain is possible in the Oakhurst area sometime around 7 p.m. Thursday night, turning to light rain by about 10 p.m. Overnight lows in town are expected to drop to a predicted 35 degrees, and area residents most likely will wake up to clear and sunny skies on Friday.
