Vision Academy Summer Arts Camp

OAKHURST — This year, Vision Academy of the Arts Summer Camps presents Better Than Ever! The Rally! as the first in their three-week series of creative and affordable summer programs for youth starting Monday, June 18.

The trio of camps are designed to stand alone or as a group, taking place at Oakhurst Elementary School where participants break into different groups for expression of dance, art, music, poetry, and other creative disciplines. Camp continues for a total of three weeks, with a different theme each session, and concludes each time with a Friday evening performance where all the elements will come together in spectacular fashion.

“We’re putting on a rally,” say insiders, talking about the first week’s production. “The spirited week encourages and promotes the values of coming together for a common goal while teaching inclusion of all the various students that make up our schools’ student bodies today.”

As as tradition, there will be a show for family and friends at the end of the week, on Friday, June 22 at 5:15p.m.

Vision Academy summer camp is open to students going into 2nd – 8th grades in the fall. Students are required to bring a bag lunch. Snacks are available for small fee. Recorder, recorder book and singing books are available for an extra cost. For more information visit the Vision Academy of the Arts page on Facebook or phone Jackie Byers at (559) 683-7071.
