OAKHURST – Friends and family mourn as they receive word that a 59-year-old Oakhurst man involved in a two-vehicle accident on Road 222 near Road 220 yesterday has passed away.
Benjamin Leslie Peugh was transported by air ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center after the crash, but succumbed to what were described by CHP as major injuries.
The accident happened on Tuesday, Mar. 24, at about 11:30 a.m. The 41-year-old driver of the other vehicle suffered only minor injuries, and his passenger was unhurt.
A close family friend says that “Benjie,” as he was known, was born and raised in the Oakhurst area.
