Vehicle Overturns, Briefly Blocking Traffic on Highway 41

COARSEGOLD – An overturned vehicle briefly blocked traffic on Highway 41 this afternoon.

Just after 1:30 p.m., CHP and EMS responded to reports of a vehicle accident near Highway 41 and Road 406, a few miles north of the Valero gas station near Rocky cut.

According to CHP, the woman, age and name unknown, suddenly drove off the road and into a field, rolling over. Per CHP, no drugs or alcohol were involved. CHP is still investigating.

She was taken by ambulance to an unknown hospital.

Cal Fire engine number 4275 out of Rancheria Station and one CHP responded.

Highway 41 was closed for approximately 10-15 minutes as the vehicle was removed from the field.

Both lanes were reopened at approximately 3:12 p.m.
