Update On Yosemite Roads For Memorial Day

YOSEMITE — As folks head for Yosemite National Park this weekend, they’re wanting to know about road closures, so we made the call.

As of 10 p.m. on Thursday evening, May 26, we can report that all roads in the park are open without restrictions, according to the NPS website, with the exception of the Mariposa Grove Road, which is closed until Spring 2017 for a restoration project.

That includes the Tioga Pass (Highway 120) over to the east entrance and Lee Vining, and the Glacier Point Road.

Visitors are reminded to arrive by mid-morning on weekends to avoid delays at entrance stations and popular areas like Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point.

For road conditions in Yosemite you can call 1-209-372-0200 at any time. Press 1 and then 1 again. Or visit https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
