Two Dates Remain in Oakhurst Art & Wine Hop Season
There are two evenings left this season to explore Oakhurst’s galleries, meet local artists and enjoy food and wine along the way.
The Oakhurst Art & Wine Hop returns Thursday, Sept. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., with seven participating locations and a free trolley connecting the stops. Visitors can also follow the event map and explore at their own pace.
Art viewing and trolley rides are free. Wine tasting is optional, so guests can enjoy the artists and galleries without purchasing a tasting wristband.
Returning tasters can bring their Art Hop keepsake glass and purchase a new monthly wristband for $10. New participants can purchase a keepsake glass and tasting wristband for $20.
September’s participating artists include Erin Alstrom Cook, Nina Anctil, Bonnie Bisbee, Shelia Boyd, Carolyn De Anda, Autumn Ensign, Franka Gabler, Lina Jane, Pamela Keefer, Julia Lee, Barbara Liss, Gina Mims, Jennifer Moss, John Richard Minney, Lubov Pavluk, Luke Schaftary, Lura Schwarz Smith, Kerby Smith and Jim Taylor. Additional artists will be represented throughout the participating galleries.
Rotating wineries and food vendors bring different offerings each month, giving returning guests something new to explore.
Live Music After the Hop
Lamar Leathers will perform at Yosemite Wine Tails from 8:30 to 10 p.m. as part of the Art Hop Concert Series. Concert tickets are sold separately through Eventbrite.
Guests can finish their gallery visits, grab dinner along the way and stay for music after the Hop concludes.
October Finale Adds a Christmas Market
The final Hop of the season is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15. As organizers announced earlier this summer, that evening will also feature an Art & Wine Hop Christmas Market with additional artists and makers.
“We want the Christmas Market to be a fun and festive way to start the holiday shopping season while showcasing the incredible artists and makers in our community,” said Colette Goga, owner of Yosemite Wine Tails and co-founder of the Hop.
“It’s a chance to find something unique, shop local and enjoy one last Art Hop together before the season ends.”
Artists and makers interested in participating can sign up at OakhurstArtHop.com/Get-Involved. Organizers say spaces are limited. Christmas Market questions may be emailed to yosemitewinetails@gmail.com.
