Trunk-N-Treat At Oakhurst College Center

OAKHURST – The Oakhurst Community College Center and the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce will once again host a Trunk-N-Treat on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Oakhurst College Campus. All local children and families are welcome to attend this free event.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the first 50 children will receive a Halloween-themed stuffed animal provided by the local Mountain Bear Fan Club.

The Boys & Girls Club of Oakhurst will be providing a bounce house and Idea Print Works will be sponsoring a kid friendly haunted house. First responders will be providing goodies again this year with representatives from Cal Fire, Sierra Ambulance, and the CHP.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
• Best Costume Boy and Girl Ages 0-3
• Best Costume Boy and Girl Ages 4-6
• Best Costume Boy and Girl Ages 7-10
• Best Costume Boy and Girl Ages 11-14
• Best Costume Boy and Girl Ages 15-18
• Best Costume Adult
• Best Trunk
• Best Carved Pumpkin

You must be present to win.

Judging for the costume contest will begin at 5:45 p.m. Pumpkins will be judged at 6:30 p.m. and should be carved prior to entering the contest. Best Trunk prizes will be awarded at 6:45 p.m.

In addition to the trunks serving candy, there will be a cake walk and story reading.

Trunkers are welcome to come in costume and decorate their vehicles. They should be prepared to provide candy to approximately three hundred children.

The Oakhurst Community College Center is located off of Highway 41 on Civic Circle Drive behind the Rite Aid store in Oakhurst.
