COARSEGOLD – A 17-year-old from the Yosemite Lakes Park area was killed this morning when he was struck by a minivan at the corner of Yosemite Lakes Parkway and Road 400.
The teenager was skateboarding down the Parkway when he crossed into the pathway of a vehicle travelling east on Road 400 and was struck and killed. The accident happened at 10:40 this morning, Saturday, Jan 19.CHP on the scene said the Coarsegold woman driving the van was not speeding or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Engines #8 and #10 responded, along with sheriff’s deputies and CHP. More details will be related when the official accident report is filed with the CHP.
