Traffic Alert: Hwy 140 Closed In Mariposa County

MARIPOSA COUNTY–The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and The California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) are reporting that Highway 140 is temporarily closed with no estimated time of reopening. The closure begins at the top of the Briceburg grade near the Yosemite Bug Hostel turn off and continues through to El Portal.

Motorists are being turned around at the closure locations. There is no alternate route. Please avoid the area. For access to Yosemite National Park, use State Route 120 or 41.
