MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled an additional lane closure this week on State Routes 49 and 140.
Route 49
• One-way traffic control at Stockton Creek Bridge for guardrail work from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
• Moving lane closure from Mount Bullion to Route 120 North/Chinese Camp for paving marker replacement beginning Monday, June 6, through Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Buckhorn Fire Road to Penon Blanco Road for grinding and paving beginning Monday, June 6, through Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Route 140
• One-way traffic control at Route 49 for electrical work beginning Monday, June 6, through Saturday, June 10, 2022, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from the beginning of the passing lane to School House Road for utility work from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022.
• One-way traffic control from Sixth Street to Eighth Street for electrical work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
• One-way traffic control of Midpines Rest Area for electrical work beginning Monday, June 6, through Friday, June 10, 2022, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction-related issues.
