OAKHURST — Stop by Gallery 5 at Gallery Row this week to see a new exhibit that’s “topical and thoughtful, unabashed and unapologetic, drawing attention to issues that effect and concern us all, or offering a mirror that reflects our fears, dreams, and desires.”
Public and Private features works by Seattle artist Deborah Faye Lawrence, and local artists Carla Rajnus, Dixie Salazar and Jon Bock. The exhibit opens Monday, Apr. 15 and runs through May 14, with an artists reception on Saturday Apr. 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All four artists address personal, social, political and cultural ideas using mixed media assemblage and collage techniques.
Located at 40982 Hwy 41, Suite 5 in Oakhurst, Gallery 5 is a fine art gallery dedicated to special exhibits, workshops and events in Eastern Madera County, supported in part by Visit Yosemite | Madera County.
