YOSEMITE – Due to precipitation in the upcoming forecast, the Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road will preemptively close at 6 p.m. tonight, Friday, Oct. 31, according to Yosemite Park Ranger Kari Cobb.
Four to eight inches of snow is expected between 6,000 and 8,000 feet in elevation, with 6 to 15 inches of snow expected above 8,000 feet.
Snowfall is expected to accumulate through late Saturday morning.
Yosemite National Park road crews will reassess both roads Sunday afternoon or Monday morning to determine if/when reopening is possible.
