This ARTober, Where Can You Find Art (The Bear)?

This is what happens when you feed the bears — they multiply.

OAKHURST — Creative minds have been busy dreaming up art-centric activities throughout the month of October, dubbing the month ARTober in honor of the excitement — ARTober in Oakhurst is a month-long celebration of the arts.

Among the many outings and adventures during ARTober, the search is on as everyone is invited to tune in and seek out “Art the Bear” in a Bear-A-Day Treasure Hunt.

Visit Yosemite | Madera County is hiding “Art the Bear” each day in a different location around Oakhurst. How do you find Art? Simply visit Artober in Oakhurst on Facebook or check the Instagram (@ArtoberOakhurst) feed for daily clues on where to find “Art the Bear.” Be the first to find “Art the Bear” and he’s yours to keep.

Here’s how you do it:

1. Take a photo of yourself with “Art the Bear” (aka – a selfie)
2. Post it on Facebook and/or Instagram
3. Use #ArtoberOakhurst and tag us @ArtoberOakhurst
3. Take your bear home. But, please… don’t feed the bear!

“Art the Bear” is a small chainsaw carved bear about 7-inches tall created by Nate’s Kustom Carving. Nate and Brian create a variety of chainsaw carvings for sale in their shop located at 41048 Highway 41, Oakhurst.
