The Daughters Rea and The Grasskickers at Music on the Green

The Mariposa Arts Council and its wonderful sponsors are proud to present The Daughters Rea on Friday, August 16, and The Grasskickers on Saturday, August 17 at Music on the Green.

The Daughters Rea are a folk/pop duo based out of Mammoth Lakes, California. The band is comprised of sisters Sarah Rea on mandolin and vocals and Caitlin Rea on guitar and vocals. Both of the woman are songwriters and  they have a great chemistry on stage and produce goosebumps-conjuring harmonies that only siblings could.

The Grasskickers, popular perennial performers of many past Music on the Green concerts, return by popular demand to the Art Park stage. Playing traditional, contemporary, and original Bluegrass music with expert vocal and instrumental aplomb, this band of seasoned professionals also incorporates laugh out loud humor into their very entertaining set.

A complete schedule of the talent performing throughout this summer season can be found at www.mariposaartscouncil.org.

All performances begin at 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park, located on Highway 140, between 4th and 5th Streets, in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Free parking will be available on 5th Street along the Creek Walkway to the Park. Handicapped access will also be provided.

The shows are free to the public thanks to the generous support of our sponsors: Sierra Tel Internet, Yosemite Mariposa Tourism Bureau, Charles Street Dinner House, Dewey Family Trust, Carol Johnson, Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Club, Mia Gloor – Mariposa’s House Hunter, Blue Oaks Farm, Kevin Cann, Evox OmniMedia, Xav Debois & Sean Aiken, Mariposa Chamber of Commerce, Ranch Fence, Yosemite Pilates, Mountain Yoga Studio, Meadow Creek Ranch B&B, Dr. Chris Hutcheson – Chiropractor, Fremont House, Ladybug Embroidery and Garment Printing, Starchman & Bryant Attorneys at Law,  Mariposa Shipping, American Financial Network – Jeff Bubenchik, Restful Nest B&B, Mariposa Lodge of Odd Fellows #39, and Saralynn Nusbaum & Don Melcher.
