Tesoro Viejo Wins Two National Awards

Tesoro Viejo wins two national awards in prestigious awards program

MADERA, CA – Tesoro Viejo – Madera County’s newest master-planned community – was recently awarded two Silver Awards at The National Sales and Marketing Awards (known as “The Nationals”) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  The community was recognized for Best Master Planned Community of the Year and Best Signage.

The Nationals is NAHB’s largest and most prestigious awards program, recognizing the best of the best in the nation. Tesoro Viejo was among the top 12 percent for its Silver Awards.

“We are thrilled to be recognized on the national stage with these two national awards,” said Brent McCaffrey, president of Tesoro Viejo.  “These awards a testament to the vision, hard work and passion of so many who have helped Tesoro Viejo come alive.”

The newest master-planned community in Madera County, Tesoro Viejo is a breathtaking site of about 1,600 acres of gently rolling hills and vistas. The community is situated at the foot of Little Table Mountain and has been thoughtfully designed to capture its scenic surroundings, offering residents views of the sloping hillsides and the dramatic Sierra foothills.

The community features about 400 acres of permanently preserved natural open space, parks, recreational areas and miles of trails.  The onsite amenities include a resort-style clubhouse and recreation center, Hillside School serving students in kindergarten through 8th grade, AXIS Coffee Bar & Eatery and Madera County Fire Station and sheriff sub-station.

Tesoro Viejo also received a Silver Award for Best Signage.  Located throughout the community and within a variety of textures, the community signage is both informative and used for wayfinding.  The signage was recognized for its compelling color palette, stark contrast for improved readability and impressive materials for entry monumentation at parks, the school and bridges.

The Nationals salutes and honors the best in the building industry for their determination, integrity, creativity and endurance.   This year, the highly regarded awards program drew more than 900 entries from across the United States and Canada.

“The Nationals are the most prestigious awards of their kind, setting the benchmark for innovations in new home design, marketing and sales,” said Linda Hebert, chairperson of the Nationals. “NAHB’s commitment to recognizing originality, imagination and success has been exemplified by its award winners since the competition’s inception.”

The community of Tesoro Viejo is a partnership between The McCaffrey Group and Lyles Diversified, two trusted local family companies with deep roots in California’s Central Valley. Together, they are crafting a 21st century community that is grounded in local heritage and tradition, energized by modern neighborhood design principles, and poised to grow and evolve gradually over time.
