Teaming Up For New Backpacks At OES

OAKHURST — Say hello to Savannah Noone, a third grade student in Mrs. White’s classroom at Oakhurst Elementary School.

Savannah is modeling a brand new backpack she recently selected at the OES Backpack Store.

Through the generosity of the school’s friends from the Boys and Girls Club, and the staff at Oakhurst Physical Therapy, OES has 40 backpacks in the store for students in need of one. Savanna can’t show you this in the picture, but inside her backpack is a plethora of school supplies.

“OES is so grateful to the Boys & Girls Club of Oakhurst and the staff at Oakhurst Physical Therapy for their donations,” shares OES Principal Kathleen Murphy. “Kids always need a backpack when one rips or the zipper breaks, so we are happy to offer one.”

Oakhurst Elementary School is part of the Bass Lake School District.
