King Fire Arson Suspect Arrested

CAMINO, CALIF. – While the investigation continues into the cause of the Junction Fire in Oakhurst, Cal Fire and United States Forest Service law enforcement officers, in conjunction with the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, have arrested a Pollock Pines man on suspicion of arson in connection with the King Fire.

Hunter Indicted For Starting Rim Fire

FRESNO — A federal grand jury returned a four-count indictment on Thursday, charging Keith Matthew Emerald, 32, of Columbia, with starting a fire that eventually burned more than 250,000 acres, including large areas in the Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park, according to United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner and Pacific Southwest Regional Forester Randy Moore.
