Supervisor Wheeler Releases Town Hall Zoom Meeting Schedule

MADERA COUNTY MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES – District 5 Supervisor Tom Wheeler will continue to hold virtual town hall meetings for the foreseeable future. The next virtual Town Hall will be August 27, via zoom, as he, County Staff, and other community partners come together to address and meet the community’s needs.

“Engaging with the community and keeping them informed has been a real challenge since the pandemic began but, these online town halls have been a great way to reach the community” says Wheeler.

The Supervisors most recent virtual town hall on July 30, was well attended by residents eager to hear what is going on in their community. Community members were able to engage in a dialogue with speakers on a range of topics from Pandemic Relief Grants to Road Rehabilitation Projects.

Traditionally, Supervisor Wheeler hosts monthly “in-person” town hall meetings in each community within District 5, however, the COVID-19 Pandemic and state restrictions on public gatherings have forced the Supervisor to reevaluate how he interacts with the community.

Interested individuals are encouraged to send questions and concerns in advance of each meeting to District5@MaderaCounty.com.

If you are interested in adding a topic to a meeting agenda you can contact the Supervisor’s Chief of Staff, Bobby Macaulay, at Robert.Macaulay@MaderaCounty.com.
