NORTH FORK – Artist, musicians, poets and comedians, performers of all stripes are invited to show their stuff at Slim Koffee Shak throughout the month of April during Sunday Brunch Open Mic.
“Bring your poems, comedy, stories, your instruments (plugged or unplugged) and your performance art,” say organizers. There will be a drum kit set up at Slim’s for performers to use, or they can bring their own.For those who wish to perform, sign-in starts at 10:30 a.m. For those who wish to be entertained, the show runs from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
As always, the eclectic menu of bagels, sandwiches, wraps, salads and homemade soups will be available at the Shak, along with coffees, teas and a variety of drinks.
Slim’s Koffee Shak is a favorite gathering spot, featuring free WiFi and local art, in the heart of downtown North Fork at 33103 Road 222 across from the Buckhorn Saloon.
