Summer Reading Program Award Winners

NORTH FORK – Kids really looked forward to Wednesdays this summer as the North Fork Library let young readers get hands-on during their Summer Reading Program, Paws to Read.

Kids from 4 years of age to 12th grade participated every Wednesday afternoon in fun projects with special guests. And of course, they got to explore the wonderful world of books.

Scooby Doo KidsOn the last Wednesday of the program, all the kids gathered for a party at the Library and those in each age group who read for the most minutes during the summer months received prizes.

Everyone had fun posing behind the Scooby Doo themed photo board, choosing their favorite character and putting on their biggest smile.

After having their photo taken, the pictures were printed out right there on the spot, placed into a frame that kids were then able to decorate themselves.
