Stellar Season For Mustang Baseball

Minarets Baseball 2018 Minarets Press June 5 O’NEALS — Well, that completes one stellar season for the Minarets Mustangs baseball program.

After a 23-5 regular season record, led by pitchers Aaron Hall and Matt Painter and the clutch hitting from EG Walden, Aaron Hall, and Tylor Painter, the Mustangs headed into playoffs with a bye Rank #1 for Division 5 in the Valley.

The Pitching Leaders had an elite season with Hall (.463 ERA) AND Painter (2.087 ERA ) preparing hard for Playoffs. On the offensive side of the team Hall (.422 BA) Walden (.407 BA) and T. Painter (.368 BA) kept fighting hard to provide run support for the pitching staff. ​

On May 17 the Mustangs faced the McFarland Cougars where Aaron Hall threw a 1 run game backed by the run support from the team to win the game 6-1.

NMinarets Baseball 2018 Minarets Press June 5 ext up for the Mustangs was the Liberty Hawks. After a hard fought season, the Mustangs fell one game short from the Valley Championship game at Rawhide Stadium. Following the Game Coach Darrah and the rest of the staff addressed their pride and appreciation for this years team and showed gratitude to the graduating seniors, Painter, Walden, Cullen, Heiderbrect, and Hough on completing their time in the program.

Additionally they presented their expectations for next year’s Juniors to continue the success for the Minarets baseball program.
