Special Musical Event With David Haas

NORTH FORK – Grace Community Church is inviting everyone to attend a special musical event with David Haas the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22 at the UCC Church in North Fork.

David Haas, a Minnesota resident, is director of the Emmaus Center for Music, Prayer and Ministry, and is founder of Music Ministry Alive! – a youth-centered summer institute for church musicians.

Highly regarded as a preeminent liturgical composer, he has produced more than 45 collections of original music. His works are sung and prayed throughout the world and appear in hymnals of many Christian denominations, and in many languages.

David is a popular performer, speaker, consultant, recording artist and author. His Saturday workshop and the concert on Sunday will offer us all new insights and inspiration in our challenging times!

David HaasThe workshop with David will be Saturday, Sept 21, from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by refreshments in Grace Hall. There is no charge for the workshop, but please register! Space is limited to 100 participants.

Church members, vocalists, instrumentalists, lay readers and lectors, and clergy of all ages and faiths are encouraged to attend. Come hear David speak, and join in singing as we share: “We are not alone: A musical journey for challenges in today’s church.”

On Sunday, David will present a concert at the church at 3 p.m. Concert tickets are sold only in advance, there will be no ticket sales at the door: $10 each. A limited number of tickets are available.
