Some North Fork Evacuations Lifted

NORTH FORK – Cal Fire is reporting that some mandatory evacuations implemented yesterday for the Corrine Fire will be reduced from mandatory to advisory status as of 6 p.m. today (Saturday, June 20).

Road 225 will be reopened entirely and residents will be allowed to return home, and those traveling through to Mammoth Pool and Redinger will have free access.

Residents returning to their homes are advised to keep an increased level of awareness of fire activity, use caution when returning and be aware of fire apparatus still working in the area.

Mandatory evacuations will remain in effect for all areas within the fire perimeter. That includes Road 222 from Carmen Ranch Road (just north of Corrine Lake Road), south to Tunoi Place (near Kerckoff) and everything east of that section of road, and Corrine Lake Road and Box Canyon.
