NORTH FORK – The Sierra Vista Scenic Byway Association has two tours of local interest planned for this summer. The first will be North Fork History Plus.

On Saturday, June 14, Connie Popelish, former USFS Archeologist and North Fork History Group member will guide a walking tour of downtown North Fork. Connie will share the history of the buildings, and participants are invited to bring their expertise to share.

At the Studio there will be a model of the town with more interesting historical facts, and after lunch and a short drive, Marcia Freedman will take everyone on a short walk to the confluence of the two forks of Willow Creek and the Swinging Bridge.

Participants are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m. in the North Fork Post Office parking lot.

Bring a lunch or visit the Buckhorn, Slims, La Cabana, the Pizza Factory or Gas N Stuff.
