Sierra Tel Installs The First Of Multiple Wi-Fi Hot Spots

MARIPOSA – Sierra Tel is proud to announce the installation of the first of multiple Wi-Fi Hot Spots in our mountain area. It is located at the Mariposa County Visitor Center, 5158 Highway 140 in Mariposa.

The Wi-Fi signal covers the parking lot, the Visitor Center and MoonBow Espresso. The first five minutes of the service are free. Users who need to check email or download a map can do so quickly at no cost.

For longer periods of time the service offers a daily rate of $4.95, weekly rate of $19.95, or monthly rate of $49.95, payable by credit card.

The second site for installation has been identified as the Mariposa Art Park at the south end of town. Subscribers will be able to enjoy their time on the service at either location with the same login information.

As other Sierra Tel Hot Spots are added, people will have the ability to “roam” from one Sierra Tel Hot Spot to another.

Progress is being made on future locations including Midpines, Catheys Valley, Oakhurst, Bass Lake, Coarsegold and more.

All Sierra Tel Hot Spots are built on the Sierra Tel fiber network for the fastest speeds and most reliable service.

Additional information and periodic updates are available on the Sierra Tel website at www.sierratel.com.
