Sierra News Online Hits 20,000 Facebook Likes

CENTRAL SIERRA — It happened last week. After thousands of stories on the website and an untold number of social media posts, Sierra News Online reached a milestone: 20,000 “likes” on Facebook.

Having grown from a kitchen-table enterprise to a trusted source of news and information for the greater mountain area, those of us behind the scenes at SNO want to thank you, our readers, for your support.

Your input and contributions in the form of stories, photographs, likes, shares, comments, and subscriptions are what keep us going, literally and figuratively, every day.

The (mostly) kind and intelligent discourse with which our readers engage on topics of interest to those of us who live, work, and play in the mountains is a tremendous source of pride to us.

Our advertisers and subscribing club members enable us to bring fresh, local news to the mountains and allow us to concentrate on the news our readers want to hear. From community events and features to breaking stories on fires and floods, and everything in between, we write about what you care about, and we care about you.

With more than half-a-million individual page views each month, SNO is the go-to resource for locals and visitors alike. We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Gina, Kellie and Lisa
