Sierra National Forest Opens Huntington Lake County Road

PRATHER — Due to the low snowpack this year the Sierra National Forest (SNF) has opened the gate on the eastside of Huntington Lake County Road for local traffic.

The road is only open from the east, or Lakeshore end, the west end of the road is not open. As the road will not be plowed or cleared of debris until later in the month, travel is at your own risk. Winter conditions still exist on some parts of the road and travelers should be prepared to encounter snow-covered sections of the road.
