Minarets senior Shyann Mattes

O’NEALS — Minarets senior Shyann Mattes will host an FFA Parliamentary Procedure and Creed Speaking Contest for her Senior Legacy Experience (SLE), as part of the O’Neals-Minarets chapter offerings.
When asked about her event, Shyann said, “It’s an awesome opportunity for members to practice speaking and presenting in front of others. The invitational is simply a small, educational opportunity for those competitors looking to get a little extra practice before the season starts. Minarets is extremely excited to be holding it for a fifth year.”
During the Parliamentary Procedure CDE, teams conduct a mock chapter meeting to demonstrate their knowledge of basic parliamentary law and the correct use of parliamentary procedures. The Creed Speaking CDE is for FFA members in ninth grade. They must present the FFA Creed from memory and answer questions about its meaning and purpose.
