Sheriff’s Office Searching For Missing Teen

MARIPOSA – The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing teen, believed to be a runaway.

Cora Lowery, age 15, was last seen at her home in the Whispering Pines/ Darrah Road area of Mariposa County on Sunday, Jan. 20.

UPDATE: Jan 24, 5:42 p.m. – The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office has announced that Cora has been found in Fresno. No further details have been made available.

She is 5 ft. 7 in. tall, 115 lbs. with blond shoulder-length hair and hazel eyes. She has a nose piercing and four piercings on each of her ears.

According to the Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, Cora left her home in the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 21, in an unknown direction.

She has several ties to the Oakhurst area and is believed to be in Mariposa County or in the Oakhurst area.

Cora has been entered into the National Missing Person Data Base.
