MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, May 22 to Sunday, May 29, 2016:

Coarsegold theft
On Sunday, May 22 at 10:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Stone Creek Drive in Coarsegold regarding a report of theft of lawn equipment and quad. Report taken, arrest made, evidence obtained, property recovered and returned to victim, and case closed by arrest.

Coroner’s report
On Sunday, May 22 at 10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of West Street regarding a Coroners Report. Report taken, photos taken at scene and case forwarded to the Madera County Chief Coroner for review.

Oakhurst identity theft
On Sunday, May 22 at 10:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst substation regarding a identity theft report. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Fish Camp Search and Rescue
On Monday, May 23 at 11:40 a.m. resources from the Madera Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team were requested by Cal Fire to assist with an injured hiker in the area of Tenaya Falls. The adult male had fallen while taking a hike with his family and dislocated his knee. He was subsequently rescued by personal from the Sheriff’s Office SAR, Cal Fire and Sierra Ambulance.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, May 23 at 7:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the C.E.D.A. Tribal Office located withing the 46500 block of Road 417 regarding a report of a burglary. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold missing person
On Monday, May 23 at 9:29 p.m. casino detail and was dispatched to contact family in regards to their missing husband/father. Report taken.

North Fork assault
On Tuesday, May 24 at 11:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 regarding a victim at the location who had been assaulted. Report taken. Charges requested.

Oakhurst juvenile in danger
On Tuesday, May 24 at 8:59 a.m. deputies responded to the area of the 40000 block of Indian Springs Road for a report of possible inappropriate pictures of a juvenile. The juvenile was contacted and later placed on a mental health evaluation hold and turned over to child protective services. This report was forwarded to the detective unit for further investigation.

Oakhurst missing person
On Tuesday, May 24 at 3:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Goldside Drive in regards to a missing persons report. A report is written and is to remain open at this time. The missing person is an adult, who suffers from a mental health disorder.

Oakhurst fraud
On Tuesday, May 24 at 4:26 p.m. a deputy took a fraud report at the Oakhurst substation. A report was generated and later closed until further investigative leads arise.

Oakhurst trespassing
On Tuesday, May 24 at 6:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a property owned or leased by the U-Haul Truck Rental company, located within the 41000 block of CA-41 regarding a report of a trespassing. During the course of the investigation a female was contacted and detained. She failed to comply with lawful directions and had to be physically restrained and arrested. The arrestee was later issued a citation and released from custody. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charge.

North Fork danger to self
On Tuesday, May 24 at 7:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 33600 block of Road 221, in North Fork, regarding a report of a possible suicidal male. During the course of this investigation the male was found to be a danger to himself due to a mental condition and placed on a mental health evaluation hold. The male was transported via ambulance to a hospital for evaluation and/or treatment. This case has been closed.

Bass Lake false information
On Tuesday, May 24 at 4:24 a.m. deputies responded to the 54000 block of Crane Valley regarding a suspicious vehicle. A male subject was
contacted and it was later determined he provided deputies with a false name. Case to be forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, May 25 at 9:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Western Sierra Nursery in regards to theft of fertilizer. This has been on going issue. Evidence collected. Close the case pending the analyzation of evidence collected. If suspect leads develop then reopen and forward to detectives.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, May 25 at 10:18 a.m. a School Resource Deputy advised of a theft which occurred in the evening during a special event on May 24. The campus is located at the 50000 block of Road 427. The victim’s vehicle was parked in the student parking lot area of the campus. The vehicle was processed for prints.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, May 25 at 2:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the lobby of the Oakhurst substation in regards to a residential burglary that occurred in the 49600 block of Road 426 sometime within the last 6 weeks. A report was generated. Case closed.

North Fork Search and Rescue
On Wednesday, May 25 at 8:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched on a possible Search and Rescue in the Lower Chiquita Creek area involving an overdue 78 year old male who was going fishing. A search was launched using 4-wheel drive teams and started to last known location. Subject was eventually found on Beasore Road at Jones’ Store.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, May 26 at 6:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Golden Oak Drive in regarding a theft of fuel from a van. There was no evidence or leads. Case to be closed.

North Fork assault
On Thursday, May 26 at 8:43 a.m. a deputy was conducting a routine patrol check of a business located in the 33000 block of Road 222. The manager of the business advised she wanted to file charges on a female who was just in the business and caused a disturbance. A report was taken and evidence collected. The suspect was contacted and subsequently arrested under citizens arrest authority. During transport to the jail the suspect assaulted a peace officer by spitting. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Bass Lake warrant arrest
On Thursday, May 26 at 9:32 a.m. a deputy responded to an incident regarding an eviction that occurred in the 50000 block of Smoke Tree Trail. One adult female was determined to have two confirmed misdemeanor warrants at the scene. The female was cited and released on both warrants. This incident is to be closed.

Oakhurst mental health evaluation hold
On Thursday, May 26 at 12:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact an adult male at the Oakhurst substation regarding a cold assault. During this call the male subject was determined to meet the criteria for a mental health evaluation hold. The subject was transported to a hospital. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst assault
On Thursday, May 26 at 12:51 a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation to contact an adult male regarding a cold assault that occurred the night prior at the 40000 block of Junction Drive. This case is pending attempted contact with a witness.

North Fork theft
On Thursday, May 26 at 10:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 58200 block of Road 225 in regards to a possible marijuana grow. A report taken and evidence collected. Forward to Sgt. Larry Rich for follow up.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, May 26 2:10 p.m. a deputy contacted a subject at the block of 35000 Texas Flat Mine Road that had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. She was cited and released at the scene. Refer report closed due to arrest.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, May 26 at 2:10 p.m. a deputy was at a residence located in the 35000 block of Texas Flat Mine Road attempting to contact a male subject who was wanted on a warrant. The male subject was not at the residence. Prior to leaving the residence the deputy contacted a different male subject who was wanted on a misdemeanor bench warrant. The male subject was arrested, cited and released on the warrant. Case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney to pursue the charges against the male subject for
violation of the warrant.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, May 26 at 4:40 p.m. was dispatched to the block of 42000 Long Hollow Drive regarding an attempt break in. The house is for sale and the reporting claimed someone tried to get inside. After inspecting the residence, no evidence of a burglary was present. She requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed.

Bass Lake lost handgun
On Thursday, May 26 at 4:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call a subject regarding a lost handgun in the Chilkoot Campground. A report was taken and the firearm info entered into CLETS as lost. The male subject called back and advised he recovered the handgun. The deputy had dispatch put a locate on the firearm. Closed the case.

Coarsegold weapons parole violation
On Friday, May 27 at 8:23 a.m. deputies were requested to assist State Parole Officers in locating a subject wanted for parole violations at his residence in the 46000 block of Road 417. The wanted parolee was located and arrested. State Parole Officers subsequently did a search and located firearms and narcotics. The items turned over to the deputy to be booked into evidence. Forward the case to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office and State Parole Officer Yabarra.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Friday, May 27 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Road 600 regarding a subject who was upset and wanted to kill himself. The subject was contacted at his residence and advised that he needed some help. He was placed under a mental health evaluation hold and transported to MCH by EMS. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst assault
On Friday, May 27 at 3:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 38000 block of Bon Vue Place for a report of an assault and battery. No arrest was made. Case forward to the Madera County District Attorney to review the charges against both parties involved.

Oakhurst assault
On Saturday, May 28 at 3:07 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of Sierra Vista Lane and Country Club Drive West for a report of a stabbing victim. An investigation was conducted and a report was written. This case is closed pending further information.

Coarsegold assault
On Saturday, May 28 at 4:21 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of CA-41 for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, a deputy contacted the reporting party/victim and obtained a statement. A case file was started and a report was written. Forward a copy of this report to detectives for review and to the DA for review and prosecution.

Coarsegold dispute
On Saturday, May 28 at 8:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Seminole Ave in regards to a neighbor dispute. A report taken. Close the case.

Coarsegold health department violation
On Saturday, May 28 at 10:35 a.m. a deputy was on a routine patrol check of the Coarsegold Peddlers Fair when he was contacted by the promoter who advised she would not allow a vender to participate due to no County Environmental Health Department permit. The vender set up shop across the street. The vender was contacted and advised to remove the shop. Forward the case to Madera County Code Enforcement.

O’Neals tresspassing
On Saturday, May 28 at 11:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to trespassers in the 28000 block of Flying O Ranch. This has been an on-going issue. A report was taken. Forward to detectives.

Bass Lake Search and Rescue
On Sunday, May 29 at 6:39 p.m. a deputy responded to the Chilkoot Campground for a missing adult. Search and Rescue was called out to the location and they were able to locate the subject. The subject was returned to his camp site.
