Sheriff’s Log Through Sunday, May 22

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, May 15 to Sunday, May 22, 2016:

Oakhurst domestic incident
On Sunday, May 15, at 12:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a domestic incident in the 40000 block of Highway 41. The victim refused to give any information to the deputy regarding the incident. In addition, it was later determined she gave false information during the investigation. Case sent to the DA’s office for review.

Bass Lake vehicle vandalism
On Sunday, May 15, at 6:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Smoke Tree Trail in regards to a vehicle vandalism report. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted and physical evidence was located at the scene. It was discovered that the tires had small punctures marks on them. A suspect was named but has not been contacted. Case to remain open pending additional follow up.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Sunday, May 15, at 10:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Stetson Drive regarding subjects chasing two other subjects with a crossbow and firearm. After further investigation the two subjects were found to be under the influence of drugs. Report taken, one arrest made, evidence obtained, subject cited/released, and case closed by arrest.

North Fork public intoxication
On Sunday, May 15, at 2:16 p.m. deputies responded to the area of Road 222 and Road 200 for a possible person stumbling in and out of traffic. Subject was contacted and placed under arrest for public intoxication and he was transported and booked into the Madera County Jail.

Coarsegold welfare check
On Sunday, May 15, at 7:39 p.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Bear Paw Way regarding a welfare check. After further investigation one of the parties involved violated a custody order and the other party had been annoying and harassing though repeated phone calls and text messages. Case to be forwarded to the DA’s office. Case closed.

Coarsegold missing persons
On Sunday, May 15, at 8:15 p.m. deputies responded to the 45000 block of Old Corral Road regarding a missing person report. The reporting party indicated that her daughter, 22, and grandson, 4, was missing. Case pending further leads.

Oakhurst assault
On Sunday, May 15, at 9:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to telephone a female regarding a report of an assault that occurred the previous night a the Jack in the Box Restaurant, within the 40000 block of CA-49.  The female advised that her daughter, 17, was attacked by her ex-husband’s new girlfriend during a visitation. The daughter was not injured. The mother only wanted this incident documented and did not wish to seek prosecution against the girlfriend at this time. This case has been closed.

Coarsegold burglary
On Monday, May 16, at 6:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Rio Way in regards to a residential burglary report involving a vacant residence. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted and photographs were taken. There were no suspect(s) in this case. Case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads/ evidence.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Monday, May 16, at 9:01 a.m. a deputy was doing a subject check on the 40000 block of CA-41. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant. Report taken, citation issued and case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, May 16, at 8:56 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 425B regarding a report of theft from a local business. Report taken, no arrest made, evidence obtained and case closed due to a lack of evidence leads.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Monday, May 16, at 1:45 p.m. a School Resource Deputy was advised by the Assistant Principal that a student was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia in his backpack on school campus, located in the 50000 block of Road 427. This report will be forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, May 16, at 2:42 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 49000 block of Golden Oak Drive for a burglary report. Deputies took a report and the investigation was closed due to lack of evidence.

Oakhurst arrests
On Monday, May 16, at 5:58 p.m. deputies responded to the area of Civic Circle and CA-41 regarding a vandalism report. Two subjects were arrested and transported to the county jail for felony vandalism, public intoxication and several warrants. Case closed.

North Fork danger to self
On Tuesday, May 17, at 2:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 35300 block of Road 222 regarding a report of a possibly suicidal female. During the investigation it was determined the female was a danger to herself, due to a mental condition and was placed on a mental health evaluation hold. The female was transported, via ambulance, to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. This case has been closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, May 17, at 10:55 a.m. a School Resource Deputy was advised by an Assistant Principal that a student was making comments that he was going to hurt himself. An investigation was conducted and the student was transported to the hospital for an evaluation. The school is located at the 50000 block of Road 427.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, May 17, at 12:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding an adult female who was making threats to commit suicide. The female/patient was transported by EMS to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Ahwahnee alleged sexual assault
On Tuesday, May 17, at 11:34 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a school located in the 43000 block of Highway 49 for a report of a sexual assault. No arrest was made. Case forward to Detectives for further investigation.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Tuesday, May 17, at 5:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 49000 block of Road 420 for a report of a female subject who took an entire bottle of sleeping pills. The female subject was transported to a hospital by ambulance for a psychological evaluation. Case forward to the Madera County Mental Health Department for further investigation.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Tuesday, May 17, at 8:21 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Flying O Ranch Road regarding a suspicious vehicle that keeps driving through the ranch and damaging the electric gates. A report was taken and an investigation was started.

North Fork danger to self
On Wednesday, May 18, at 4:18 a.m. a deputy responded to the 33000 blk. for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies arrived on
scene and a report was generated and the case was closed.

North Fork phone call
On Wednesday, May 18, at 1:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to contact a mother regarding a telephone call her daughter, 13, received. A report was taken, case closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, May 18, at 4:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation lobby regarding thefts from a local nursery. It is an ongoing issue. Report taken. Close the case.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, May 18, at 3:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 50000 Lilac Lane regarding a juvenile who wanted to kill herself. She was transported to Valley Children’s Hospital under a mental health evaluation hold. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst criminal threats
On Wednesday, May 18, at 4:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 39000 block of Road 425B for a report of criminal threats. The suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Madera County Department of Correction. Case forward to the Madera County District Attorney to pursue the charges against the arrestee.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Thursday, May 19, at 10:40 a.m. a deputy contacted an adult male at the Oakhurst Substation in regards to an outstanding felony warrant. The male was arrested and booked at the jail for the warrant. Report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

North Fork injury
On Thursday, May 19, at 2:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Cascadel Drive and Cascadel Drive South by the creek regarding a subject who had fallen down the falls by the rocks. The male subject sustained an injury to his right ankle. EMS and Cal Fire assisted in moving the male subject to the roadway. The female subject was also assisted to the roadway, while with their dogs. EMS transported the male subject to Saint Agnes Hospital for his injury. Report closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday, May 19, at 4:40 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call a victim in the Yosemite Lakes Park area in regards to a theft of lawn art that occurred within the past five days. A report was taken. Close the case.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Friday, May 20, at 2:13 a.m. a deputy responded to the 700 block of Lucky Lane regarding a public intoxication report. A subject was arrested and transported to the county jail. Case closed.

Oakhurst attempted burglary
Friday, May 20, at 9:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Pine Ridge Road regarding an attempt break in to the residence. Two windows were broken on the property in an attempt to get inside. No entry was made due to the security bars on the inside of the windows. Nothing was taken from the property. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold identity theft
Friday, May 20, at 11:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the lobby of the Oakhurst substation in regards to an identify theft packet being turned in. No suspect leads. Close the case.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
Friday, May 20, at 10:38 p.m. a deputy responded to the area of CA-41 and Road 200 for a report of a traffic collision with a deceased person. An investigation was conducted and coroner’s report was prepared. Information and report was forwarded to the detective unit for review.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Saturday, May 21, at approximately 12:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to CA-41 and Lucky Ln for a report of a male subject jumping in and out of traffic. A case was generated and the charges were field with the District Attorney’s office for prosecution.

Ahwahnee arrests
On Saturday, May 21, at 11:18 a.m. subjects were observed at a community event on the 40000 block of Covey Court. A female subject had an active felony warrant. A male subject was restrained from a female subject. Both subjects were detained. The female subject then advised of chest pain, and was transported to a hospital in Fresno. She was later arrested after being discharged from the hospital. Subjects’ vehicle was located blocking a roadway and was towed. Charges requested against the male.

Oakhurst warrant
On Saturday, May 21, at 11:23 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject check in the area of CA- 41 and Golden Oak Loop. The subject was subsequently cited and released for a misdemeanor warrant. Case closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Sunday, May 22, at 11:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Stone Creek Drive regarding a report of theft of lawn equipment and quad. A report was taken, an arrest made, evidence was obtained, property was recovered and returned to victim, and case closed by arrest.
