Sheriff’s Local Crime Log Through Sept. 18

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Sept. 12 to Sunday, Sept 18, 2016:

Oakhurst fraud report
On Monday, Sept. 12 at 10:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a fraud report. This report will be closed, due to a lack of investigative leads/evidence.

Coarsegold theft
On Monday, Sept. 12 at 10:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Big Sandy Drive regarding a report of a stolen chlorine pump. Report taken, no evidence obtained and case closed.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Monday, Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m. two adults were arrested for public intoxication in the 40000 block of CA-41. This arrest was a detention only. Report to be closed.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Monday, Sept. 12 at 5:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Brave Eagle Court regarding a mental health evaluation call. After completing the investigation a female was placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 4:09 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Apache Road regarding a possible domestic violence. After completing the investigation a male subject was arrested for felony domestic violence. Case will be forwarded to DA to pursue charges.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Sept. 13 a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 31700 block of Apache Road regarding a report of a dispute between a male and female. During the investigation the female was identified. A record check determined the female had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. The female was arrested, issued a citation and released from custody. This case has been cleared by arrest.

Coarsegold vehicular fatality
On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 2:22 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a traffic collision located 36000 block of CA- Highway 41. Upon arrival it was determined the driver of the vehicle had succumbed to her injuries caused by the collision. The passenger of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital prior to the deputies’ arrival.

North Fork burglary
On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 4:10 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 33000 block of Willow Creek Drive regarding a residential burglary that occurred sometime overnight. Upon contacting the victim, she advised she noticed the front door had been slightly opened, when she walked in the house was ransacked and her TV and other valuables had been stolen. It was determined the suspect had entered from the north bedroom window. The victim did not have any suspect information and neighbors in the area had not seen or heard anything. The case is still under investigation.

Coarsegold theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 3:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within a mobile home park in the 46000 block of Road 415 regarding a report of a theft. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Coarsegold arrest
On Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Chukchansi Casino located within the 46500 block of Lucky Lane. The Sheriff’s Department had received information from Crime Stoppers of Fresno County, regarding a wanted female adult reportedly gambling at the casino. The female was located and found to have three outstanding felony warrants for her arrest, issued by the Superior Court of Fresno County. The female was arrested and transported to Fresno County where a Fresno County Deputy Sheriff took custody of her. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Coarsegold accidental stabbing
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 2:28 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 29900 block of Deer Trail Lane regarding a report of an accidental stabbing. The patient was transported via helicopter to a hospital for treatment. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst citation
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 8:21 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic stop which resulted in the driver being cited and the vehicle stored. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges.

Oakhurst arrest
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10:12 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40200 block of CA-41 regarding a verbal altercation. During the investigation an adult male was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant and booked into MCDOC. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst threat
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 1:24 p.m. a deputy responded to the Sheriff’s substation in Oakhurst regarding a person who wanted to report that somebody had threatened him with a knife at the Oakhurst Community Park.

Oakhurst Coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 2:09 p.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

North Fork assault
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 1:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence at the block of 31000 Quail Creek Road regarding a subject who was assaulted. The victim advised the suspect hit him in the face while holding a semi-auto hand gun. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim requested the charges to be dropped and not filed with the D.A’s office.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 5:08 p.m. deputies took a report on a burglary that occurred in the 42000 block of Titan Court. At this time the suspect(s) are unknown.

North Fork Coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 11:25 p.m. a deputy responded to a Coroner’s case.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7:45 a.m. a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle in the area of Road 426 at the cross of Road 425b. A male subject had outstanding arrest warrants. He was cited. Close the case.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 9:03 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Deer Meadow Way regarding a family disturbance. During the investigation an adult male was taken into custody on a misdemeanor warrant and booked into MCDOC. This case is to be closed.

North Fork citation
On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10:11 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 200 / Road 222 which resulted in the driver being cited for a traffic violation and the vehicle stored. The subject was also cited out on outstanding arrest warrants. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10:20 a.m. a deputy responded to the 40500 block of CA-41 regarding a report of shoplifting. Video surveillance footage of the incident was reviewed. No arrests have been made as of yet, however this case is still under investigation.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 1:14 p.m. deputies took a report regarding vandalism to a reality sign that occurred in the area of Road 416 and Person Loop North. The report was later closed.

Oakhurst embezzlement
On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 1:17 p.m. a deputy responded to the 41000 block of Miami Way regarding the report of embezzlement. During the investigation an adult male suspect was arrested and booked into MCDOC on embezzlement charges. Case report was written and filed with the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Thursday, Sept. 15 at 2:31 p.m. deputies responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst prohibited sleeping
On Friday, Sept. 16 at 7:20 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine patrol check of the Oakhurst trail by the college and located a male sleeping in a prohibited area. The deputy had given the subject a verbal warning the day prior about the same issue. Deputy cited the subject. Forward to the DA for charges.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, Sept. 16 at 8:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39600 CA-41 regarding a burglary to a shed. The suspect(s) stolen several items including a chain saw and a blower. I am requesting this report be suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold road rage
On Friday, Sept. 16 at 10:17 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a gas station in the area of Road 417 / CA 41 in regards to possible road rage. A report was taken. Close the case. Case taken for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst sex crime
On Friday, Sept. 16 at 1:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 48267 Liberty drive regarding a cross report for Child Protective Services regarding alleged rape that occurred two years ago. Deputy is requesting the report be forwarded to detectives for a CSART interview.

Ahwahnee danger to self
On Saturday, Sept. 17 at 9:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 43000 block of Road 628 in regards to a possible need for a mental health evaluation hold. A report was taken and a hold was  placed. Close the case.

Ahwahnee domestic violence
On Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the California Highway Patrol office in Oakhurst in regards to a domestic violence incident. The suspect was arrested and a emergency order of protection was granted and served. Forward the case to Madera DA for charges.

Bass Lake Coroner’s report
On Saturday, Sept. 17 at 3:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Minarets Pack Station in regards to a Coroner’s case. The decedent was removed by the deputy and transported to the coroner transport unit at the Oakhurst substation. A report taken and written. Forward the case to the coroners unit for review.

North Fork family disturbance
On Sunday, Sept. 18 at 10:25 p.m. deputies were dispatched to 56000 block of Road 200 regarding an altercation between a father and son, 17. Upon arrival it was determined the altercation had occurred in the evening hours of Sept. 15, at which time the son left his residence in the 33000 block of Road 224 and went to stay at a friends house for the weekend. The son stated the altercation was physical but he did not have any injuries. Deputies attempted to contact the father but he did not answer at the residence.

Oakhurst burglary
On Sunday, Sept. 18 at 7:27 p.m. a deputy was called by a homeowner in the 39000 block of Skyline Drive for a report of some things she realized were damaged from the night before. A report was written for documentation.
