Sheriff’s Local Crime Log Through Oct. 16

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 10 to Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016:

Oakhurst minor assaulted 
On Monday, Oct. 10 at 9:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 427 (School Road) regarding a report of a minor being slapped by an adult. Report taken, evidence obtained, and case closed due to a lack of evidence leads.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Monday, Oct. 10 at 9:38 a.m. deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 30000 block of Hogans Mountain Road in regards to a suspicious persons call. Upon arrival, a male suspect was arrested for public intoxication and outstanding warrants. This case is to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for a complaint to be filed.

North Fork child protective services
On Monday, Oct. 10 at 4:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service via phone regarding a report of an adult female giving alcohol and having sex with minors. Report taken, no evidence obtained and case forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Detectives unit and the Madera County Child Protective services for follow up.

Bass Lake burglary
On Monday, Oct. 10 at 4:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the high country above Bass Lake off of Grizzly Road regarding a cold burglary. Report taken.

Coarsegold traffic and drug arrest
On Monday, Oct. 10 at 8:38 p.m. a deputy was parked doing traffic patrol in the Village when he observed a vehicle driving northbound Highway 41 with no license plate light. The vehicle was stopped and an investigation was conducted. The driver was later found to have a suspended drivers license and was in possession of marijuana. The driver was booked into the Madera County DOC on traffic and drug charges.

Coarsegold found property
On Monday, Oct. 10 at 10:47 p.m. a deputy was flagged down regarding found property. Property was booked at the Madera County Sheriff’s department for safekeeping.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 11:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 45000 block of Spring Trail in regards to a possible violation of a restraining order. This report is related to another Madera County Sheriff’s Department case. Deputy is requesting that this report be forwarded to the detective unit for possible follow up.

North Fork domestic violence
On Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 12:03 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 36000 block of Teaford Poyah regarding a family disturbance. Upon arrival it was determined there had been an argument between mother and her 38 year old son. At one point, the son pushed his mother and she fell, causing a minor scratch to her right cheek. Deputies placed the son in custody, and transported him to jail on domestic violence related charges.

Oakhurst drugs and loaded firearm
On Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 9:38 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Road 426 and Deer Meadow Way for expired registration. The driver was later found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and drug paraphernalia. The passenger of the vehicle was found to be in possession of drugs. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC on firearm and drug related charges.

Coarsegold harassment
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA 41 / Old Corral Road in regards to harassment. A report was taken and evidence collected. Recommended to forward the case to detectives.

Ahwahnee coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 44000 Windsong Way regarding a coroners case. Report taken and written for documentation. Forward to Chief Coroner for review.

Coarsegold coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 9:32 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Madera County Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a coroner’s referral number.

On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 9:34 a.m. deputies responded to a delayed Madera County Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 9:37 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Madera County Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

North Fork missing juvenile
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 10:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding a runaway male juvenile. Due to the juvenile currently being on probation out of Madera County, this report is to be forwarded to the Juvenile Probation Dept.

O’Neals juvenile danger to self
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 12:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an area high school in regards to a male student making threats to kill himself. A protective hold was placed and the juvenile transported by EMS for treatment by mental health professionals.

North Fork missing person
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 2:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 48000 Liberty Drive regarding a missing person report. The reporting party advised that he had not seen his adult son in over three-and-a-half years. He requested to make a report and was referred to detectives for follow up.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 3:22 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 41000 block of Lilley Mountain Drive in regards to a subject who made threats to commit suicide. The subject made comments to deputies that warranted a protective hold. Firearms were seized. Close the case.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 11:18 a.m. a deputy on routine patrol was flagged down regarding vandalism at the Grant Mercantile building. A report was taken and evidence collected. Follow up was conducted. No suspect leads and it was recommended to close the case.

Coarsegold burglary
On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 10:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 regarding a cold residential burglary. Pictures were taken of the suspect tire and shoe tracks. There are no leads at this time. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 2:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business regarding a transient subject who was causing a distrurbance. A report was taken. The business owner demanded she wanted a citizens arrest. The suspect was located and arrested. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges.

Coarsegold camping off roadway
On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 3:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to CA-41 at Konklin Road regarding subjects camping off the roadway. The law enforcement officer contacted several subjects and one was cited on a misdemeanor warrant. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8:22 p.m. a deputy responded to CA-41 and Road 426 for a report of a male subject screaming. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted a male subject who was later transported for a medical evaluation. No charges were filed and the case was closed.

Oakhurst motor vehicle stop
On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9:22 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop near CA-41 and Old Barn Way. A case was generated and charges were forwarded to the District Attorneys Office for prosecution.

O’Neals narcotics
On Friday, Oct. 14 at 9:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 45000 Road 200 regarding marijuana that was found on the bus. The reporting party wanted to turn it over to the Sheriff’s Department. Refer report closed.

North Fork danger to self
On Friday, Oct. 14 at 11:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 225 and Road 233 for public health call. A subject was contacted who could not care for himself. A protective hold was placed and he was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Coarsegold found property
On Friday, Oct. 14 at 4:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway in regards to found property. The property was turned over to the deputy for destruction. Close the case.

Coarsegold lost property
On Saturday, Oct. 15 at 4:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a phone report regarding a missing wallet. The reporting party was advised she lost her wallet, containing several belongings, at the Chukchansi Casino. This case is to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, Oct. 15 at 9:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in regards to a theft from a business. A report was taken and there are no suspect leads. Close the case.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Sunday, Oct. 16 at 12:46 a.m. a deputy contacted a subject walking in the area near 40487 CA-41. He was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant. The subject was arrested and transported for booking. This case is to be closed.
