Sheriff’s Crime Log Week of September 7

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Sept. 7 through Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015.

North Fork assault
On Monday, Sept. 7 at 2:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 222 and Old Central Camp Road regarding a possible vehicle accident and physical assault. Investigation concluded a male subject was attacked by his brother during a verbal dispute. Attempts were made to locate the suspect at several locations with negative results. Charges forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Bass Lake theft
On Monday, Sept. 7 at 7:06 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 50000 block of Smoke Tree Trail for a report of a theft. An investigation was conducted and case can be closed.

Oakhurst robbery
On Monday, Sept. 7 at 9:48 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Highway 41 and Golden Oak Loop regarding a subject that was an assault victim. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Bass Lake boating accident
on Monday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. a deputy responded to Lakeview Cove when an individual trying to hook up to a disabled 26-foot boat against the rocky shore, the owner of the disabled vessel pushed his boat away from the rocks. The bow of the disabled boat pushed in the passenger side window of the other vessel and shattered the window.

Oakhurst burglary
On Monday, Sept. 7 at 2:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Sierra Lakes Drive regarding a cold burglary. Report taken. Case to be closed.

North Fork vandalism
Deputies responded on Monday, Sept. 7 at 16:17 p.m. to a residence located int the 53000 block of Timberview Rd. regarding a window being shot out, by possibly a pellet. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the reporting party and a report was taken.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
Deputies responded to the 40000 Block of CA-41 on Monday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. at 10:05 p.m. for an attempted pick up of a wanted subject. He was contacted and identified. He was arrested and then taken and booked into the department of corrections on outstanding warrants.

Wishon domestic violence
Deputies were dispatched on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 1:26 a.m. to a possible burglary in progress in the area of the 34000 block of Road 221. Upon arrival, the suspect had left the scene. The call was investigated as a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. The suspect drove by the house while deputies were still investigating. Deputies gave chase to the involved vehicle and made an arrest. Forward this report to the DA’s office for review and prosecution.

Raymond Coroner Report
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 42000 block of Road 800 regarding a coroner’s case. Refer to Chief Coroner for review.

Oakhurst school vandalism
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 9:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 50000 block of School Road regarding vandalism to a vehicle on school grounds. Refer report closed until further leads develop.

Oakhurst business theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 12:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding theft of items from a business. Report suspended until further leads develop.

North Fork domestic violence
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 2:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 32000 block of Road 222 in North Fork regarding domestic violence. The deputy determined a domestic assault had taken place and made an arrest. A male suspect was booked into Madera Department of Corrections and the case is being forwarded to the District Attorney for filing of charges.

Oakhurst gas theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 4:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding theft of gasoline from two vehicles. A case report was written. Case can be closed.

Oakhurst arrest for felony warrant
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 10:13 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject check in the 42000 block of Ca-41. During the investigation the male subject was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. The male subject was placed into custody and transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst person in distress
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 10:48 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 39400 block of Giant Oak Rd. for a possible suicidal subject. Upon arrival subject was contacted and subsequently transported to a local medical facility for treatment. A report was generated for this incident.

North Fork intoxicated woman
On Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 11:27 p.m. a deputy responded to 33000 blk. of Mission Dr. for a report of an intoxicated female. During the investigation a female was located and turned over to EMS for medical reasons. A case was generated and the case was closed.

Oakhurst gas theft
On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 7:28 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Golden Oak Drive in regards to a theft of gasoline from a parked vehicle. A report was generated. There were no witnesses, suspects or physical evidence located at the scene. Report to be closed pending additional investigative leads.

Coarsegold domestic violence
On Wednesday, Sept. 9 just before 1 a.m. deputies responded to the area of the 29000 block of Highway 41 for a domestic violence report. A report was generated and an emergency protective order was issued.

North Fork credit card fraud
On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 8:31 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 34000 on Road 221 residence regarding unlawful charges to a credit card. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst road rage
On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 9:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business in the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding an aggravated assault related to road rage. Deputy was unable to identify the suspect. Recommend case be suspended pending further investigative leads.

Oakhurst juvenile in possession
On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 10:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to school in the 50000 block of Road 427 regarding a female juvenile found in possession of Marijuana. Juvenile Probation had already been to the school and taken a report, however additional marijuana was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department, who in turn turned it over to juvenile probation. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 11:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a vandalism to a business. A report was taken and case can be closed.

Oakhurst driver cited
On Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 7:28 p.m. deputies performed a traffic stop near the area of the 40800 block of Highway 49. Upon contact with the driver it was determined she had a confirmed misdemeanor warrant out of Madera County. The driver was given a citation for the warrant.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Thursday, Sept. 10, just after midnight a deputies were dispatched to the 40000 blk. of Ca-41 for a report of a narcotics violation. During the investigation items were retrieved which were believed to be narcotic related and a case was generated. No suspects were found and the case was closed.

Oakhurst gas theft
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Golden Oak Drive regarding attempt theft of gasoline from a vehicle. Refer report suspended until futher leads develop.

Oakhurst trailer burglary
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Hartwell Road in regards to recreational trailer that was broken into. Several items were stolen from the inside of the trailer, as well as a battery that was attached to the exterior frame. The scene was processed for physical evidence. Several latent finger prints were located and lifted. Evidence was later booked. Case suspended pending analysis of physical evidence.

Oakhurst battery theft
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 425B regarding theft of a battery from a vehicle. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 11:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a fraud case. Report taken for documentation.

Oakhurst civil stand-by
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding a civil stand-by. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.  A civil standby is defined as an opportunity for those restricted by a restraining order to gather essential personal effects without violating the restraining order.

Coarsegold person in distress
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 3:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway in regards to a report regarding a developmentally disabled adult yelling at his neighbor while at a store. Case report taken for documentation.

Oakhurst assault
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in Oakhurst regarding an assault near a local business. Report written, evidence obtained, no arrests made and case closed. Prior to deputy’s arrival the victim had left the scene. Victim was contacted by phone and advised of the incident and asked to call Madera County Sheriff’s Office ASAP.

Oakhurst assault
On Thursday, Sept. 10, at 7:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in Oakhurst regarding a female subject slapping another female subject. Report written, no evidence obtained, no arrests made, no charges filed and case closed.

Coarsegold missing person report
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 1:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to CA-41 and Paulsen Lane in Coarsegold regarding a missing person out of Modesto, who was located by California Highway Patrol. Report written, Modesto Police department advised, and subject taken out of the system.

Coarsegold marijuana grow
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 8:08 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 44000 block of Opal Lane in regards to a possible marijuana grow. Upon arrival a large outdoor marijuana grow is located. It is estimated that there are several hundred marijuana plants on the property. No suspects are contacted. Case to be submitted to the Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team for additional investigation.

Bass Lake tools stolen
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 8:54 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to an RV park in the 39000 block of Road 274 to contact a guest regarding theft of tools from his RV site. Photographic evidence was gathered and victims were interviewed. Investigation is ongoing.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 9:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding subjects sleeping in a vehicle behind the business. The passenger was cited and released on a misdemeanor warrant. Refer case closed. The driver had marijuana in the vehicle. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 10:53 a.m. a deputy was called to a business in the 40000 block regarding a subject who wanted to talk to a deputy about having committed shoplifting. When contacted, the subject had a warrant as well as drug paraphernalia in his possession. The male was arrested on the warrant.

Oakhurst cell phone found
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. an unknown victim was reported to have lost a cell phone in the area of the 38800 block of John West Road. Cell phone booked into found property at the Oakhurst Office.

Oakhurst man in distress
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 12:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Road 426 regarding a subject was walking out into traffic. The subject admitted to smoking marijuana and had mental health issues. He was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold and transported to MCH by EMS. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst cell phone missing
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 1:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched when a victim reported a lost or stolen cell phone in the 52000 block of School Road in Oakhurst. The missing phone was not recovered, incident investigated, report taken, case closed until further leads develop or suspect(s) can be identified.

Oakhurst embezzlement
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 1:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to bank in the 40000 block of Highway 49 regarding possible elder abuse and embezzlement.

Oakhurst juveniles stealing liquor
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 4:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business in the 40000 block of Highway 49 regarding two juveniles stealing liquor from an Oakhurst area business. Evidence gathered and investigation is ongoing.

Oakhurst altercation between juveniles
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 5:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 10000 block of Road 35 regarding an altercation between to male juveniles. Case closed written for documentation.

Oakhurst Coroner’s Report
On Friday, Sept. 11, at 7:04 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 43000 block of Country Club Drive for a coroner’s report. Upon arrival deputies determined that there was no foul play and it appeared to be a natural death. A report was taken and forwarded to the Chief Coroner.

Ahwahnee residential burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 12, at 2:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of High Point Court regarding a residential burglary. Report taken and scene processed. Case to be suspended.

Oakhurst runaway juvenile
On Saturday, Sept. 12, at 11:25 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 48000 block of River Park Way in regards to the location of a possible juvenile runaway. Deputies responded to the location and located the missing juvenile runaway. She was returned to her mother and cleared from MUPS

Oakhurst man in distress
On Sunday, Sept. 13, minutes before 1 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Hang Tree Lane and Giant Oak Road regarding a suspicious vehicle. Deputies located a vehicle in the area parked in the roadway with the lights on and no one around the vehicle. While searching the area, an unknown subject was located and ran from deputies. Deputies caught up to and detained the subject who was found to be having some kind of mental breakdown. He was transported to Madera Community Hospital for further evaluation. Subject’s vehicle was stored due to no family members being located.

Ahwahnee warrant arrest
On Sunday, Sept. 13 at 8:32 a.m. a deputy responded to the 42000 block of High Point Court in attempts to contact subjects with warrants. One subject was arrested for local and out-of-county no bail warrants. Case closed due to arrest.

Bass Lake theft from vehicle
On Sunday, Sept. 13 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 regarding a theft from an unlocked vehicle. Report taken and scene processed. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Sunday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. a deputy was provided with telephonic traffic regarding a missing juvenile who was last seen in the 38000 Block of CA-41. Investigation concluded the juvenile left with a possible boyfriend to an unknown location. Juvenile returned to her residence the same day at approximately 6:58 p.m.

Oakhurst texting dispute
On Sunday, Sept. 13 at 4:52 p.m. a deputy was provided with telephonic traffic regarding harassing text messages in the 51000 Block of Dorstan Drive. Investigation concluded accusations of theft were being made against the reporting party and documentation was requested. The other involved party was contacted and not cooperative when questioned.

North Fork domestic violence
On Sunday, Sept. 13 at 9:02 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 224 in regards to a call of domestic violence between boyfriend and girlfriend over custody of their four month old child. The incident was investigated and a report was taken. Submit to the DA for review.

Oakhurst driver’s license found
On Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. a deputy at the Oakhurst substation was approached by a citizen who found a California driver licence near an ATM machine in Oakhurst. The licence was booked into Oakhurst property as found property.
