Sheriff’s Crime Log Week of September 14

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015.

Oakhurst theft from vehicle
On Monday, Sept. 14 at 11:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst sub-station regarding a theft of items from an unlocked vehicle. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Monday, Sept. 14 at 11:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 27000 block of Road 207 for a report of vandalism to a residence. The damage was less than $400. The suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Oakhurst identity theft
On Monday, Sept. 14 at 11:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst sub-station regarding an identity theft report. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Monday, Sept. 14 at 12:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40300 block of Highway 41 regarding a vandalism to a business. Repot taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Sept. 14 at 2:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 40000 block of Winding Way regarding a theft. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Raymond water theft
On Monday, Sept. 14 at 3:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 25000 block of Road 407 in regards to a theft of water. No suspect evidence at this time; close case.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Sept. 14 at 4:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call victim who lives in Oakhurst about her son stealing money out of her bank account. Investigation concluded. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft from vehicle
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Vista Heights Drive regarding a theft of items from an unlocked vehicle. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst theft of fuel at school
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a school located in the 50000 block of School Road for a report of a theft of fuel from multiple vehicles. suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Bass Lake theft from vehicle
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 8:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 39000 block of Manzanita Drive for a report of a theft from a vehicle.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 9:43 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a 911 call of a fight in the 52000 block of Road 423. Fight was over missing items and was between grandparents, uncle and adult granddaughter. No charges requested. Female left and advised not to return. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst man in distress
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 10:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Coller Holler regarding a subject walking around in his underwear looking in windows. Subject taken by ambulance to hospital for mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

North Fork outdoor marijuana grow
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 11:40 a.m. a deputy received a number of phone calls regarding a possible marijuana grow on Pinchot Dr. The deputy contacted the subjects at the residence and confirmed they were growing marijuana outside. Subjects were advised of the county ordinance.

Ahwahnee vehicle theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 10:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party regarding someone getting into an unlocked car located in the 43000 block of Metcalf Gap Road. Report taken. Case to be closed.

North Fork robbery
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 12:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Road 225 and Road 222 in regards to a robbery. Suspect identified. Case report written and submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.

Ahwahnee burglary
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 12:37 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 42700 block of Lulniu Lane in Ahwahnee, regarding a report of a burglary from a tool shed. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.

Bass Lake vehicle theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 1:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 39000 block of Mallard regarding a theft from an unlocked vehicle. Report taken, investigation continuing. Case to remain open.

Ahwahnee outdoor marijuana grow
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 1:41 p.m. a deputy was conducting follow up on information of a possible outdoor marijuana grow located between the 41800 block and 42000 block of Rd 600 in Ahwahnee. Deputy located a small marijuana grow on the property and the owner of the property was contacted.

Oakhurst fraud
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 1:59 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 38000 block of CA-41 in Oakhurst, regarding a report of a possible fraud. During the course of this investigation it was determined no fraud had occurred. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 4 p.m. a business on the 40000 block of Highway 41 reported the passing of a fraudulent check. Suspect identified. Charges requested.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 2:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 45000 block of Rocking Chair Road for a report of a welfare check. The incident turned out to be a domestic disturbance.

Ahwahnee domestic disturbance
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Sunny Oaks Ranch Rd in regards to a domestic disturbance. An investigation was conducted, but the suspect had fled the scene before deputies arrived. No arrest was made. A case report was written and filed with the District Attorney’s Office for review.

Oakhurst altercation
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 1:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 Block of Cedar Springs Place regarding a physical altercation between two male subjects. Investigation concluded the two male subjects had minor injuries and refused to press charges. Case forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review.

Oakhurst theft of fuel from school
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 50000 Road 427 regarding theft of gasoline and diesel from 3 different school vehicles. The scene was processed and no suspects were identified. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst student in distress
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8:22 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 50000 Road 427 regarding a student that made comments he wanted to harm others and himself. The student was placed under a medical hold and transported by paramedics to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst residential theft
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 1:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 40000 South Big Oak Flat Road regarding theft of a deck box from the outside of the residence. The suspect(s) are still outstanding. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Ahwahnee theft from vehicle
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 4:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched dispatched to the 45000 block of Griffin Ct. regarding a theft of items from an unlocked vehicle. There were no leads. A report was written. Case to be closed.

North Fork Coroner’s Report
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 3:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 59000 block of Whiskey Trail regarding a deceased male involved in a vehicle accident. A Coroner’s Report was generated and forwarded to the Chief Coroner.

Oakhurst bicycle found
On Thursday, Sept. 17 at 11:04 a.m. a deputy was contacted by a citizen in the 40000 block of CA-41. The citizen reported that he found a bicycle in the brush the previous day. The bicycle was turned over to the Sheriff’s office for safekeeping. Report to be closed.

Oakhurst woman in distress
On Thursday, Sept. 17 at 110:19 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business in the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a disorientated elderly female. The female was subsequently transported to a hospital by ambulance for a mental health evaluation. Case to be forwarded for continued follow up.

Oakhurst shoplifting and possession
On Thursday, Sept. 17 at 11:45 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Junction Drive regarding a subject that was shoplifting. The female subject had stolen some items and fled the store. She was caught by the owner and later cited for shoplifting. The male subject who was with the female was in possession of marijuana and a paraphernalia. He was also cited and released at the scene. Refer to the D.A’s office for charges to be filed.

North Fork man in distress
On Thursday, Sept. 17 at 5:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 33000 block of Church Street regarding a male subject who attempted to harm himself. The male was placed on a medical hold and transported to Madera Community Hospital for evaluation. Case to be closed.

O’Neals damage to patrol vehicle
On Friday, Sept. 18 at 7:44 a.m. a deputy was on patrol when a rock hit the front of the patrol unit as another vehicle passed in the opposite direction. The rock damage to the patrol vehicle was due to current road construction on Road 200. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst child welfare check
On Friday, Sept. 18 at 4:55 p.m. a deputy responded to the 50000 block of Cedar Valley Drive in order to conduct a welfare check of child. The biological father of the child was concerned for the well-being of the child, due to the biological mother’s alleged abuse of prescription drugs. A report was generated and to be forwarded to the Madera County Child Welfare Services.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, Sept. 18 at 1:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Oak Ridge Road regarding a burglary. Per the victim nothing was stolen from the residence. There was a box of rolled change that was moved from the laundry room to the stair well. The residence is also for sale. Report taken for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

North Fork theft
On Friday, Sept. 18 at 1:50 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a theft report that occurred in the 53000 block of Chipo Poyah. The reporting party wanted contact by telephone. Upon contacting the reporting party, it was determined that this was regarding a civil agreement between two parties. One party was paid, however, the agreed-upon work was not completed. A report was generated for documentation only.

North Fork custody dispute
On Friday, Sept. 18 at 3:22 p.m. a deputy responded to a school in the 33000 block of Road 228 regarding a civil issue of two parents arguing over child custody. Case report taken for documentation.

North Fork vandalism
On Friday, Sept. 18 at 5:30 p.m. a deputy responded to a residence in the 31000 block of Duke Road regarding vandalism to a gate. Evidence was collected, however at the time there were no suspects. Case report taken for documentation.

North Fork court order violation
On Friday, Sept. 18 at 6:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 59000 block of Road 225 regarding a female she believed to be in violation of a court order. No arrest, report taken.

Oakhurst burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 3:45 a.m. deputies responded to the area of the 40000 block of Enterprise Drive for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival deputies apprehended the subject and through the investigation the subject was placed under arrest for burglary.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 8:13 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 in regards to a theft report. Upon arrival statements were obtained and a description of the stolen item was provided. There were no witnesses or suspect(s) in this case. Case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads at this time.

Oakhurst runaway juvenile
On Saturday, Sept. 19 a deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 49000 block of Pierce Drive regarding a habitual runaway juvenile. Report was taken. Juvenile entered into the missing juveniles system and report was to be forwarded to Juvenile Probation for filing of charges.

Oakhurst dog bites deputy
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 2:17 p.m. a deputy was bitten by a dog while conducting follow up in the 50000 block of Cedar Valley Drive. Report to be forwarded to Madera County Animal Services for follow up with the dog owner.

Oakhurst welfare check
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6:27 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of the 39700 block of Evergreen Dr. for a welfare check. The subject was not home, but due to statements the subject made about possibly hurting law enforcement while on the phone, deputies wrote a general incident report for this incident. Subject was later contacted by CHP and placed under arrest for unrelated charges.

Coarsegold residential burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10:08 p.m. deputies responded to the 47000 blk. of Klamath Ave. for a report of a residential burglary. A case was generated and no evidence or suspects were located during this investigation.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Saturday, Sept. 19 at 11:34 p.m. deputies responded to the 47000 blk of Ottawa for a report of a domestic disturbance. During the investigation a case was generated and no arrest were made. Case closed.

Oakhurst Child Protective Services call
On Sunday, Sept. 20 at 11:49 a.m. a deputy responded to the 43000 block of Sugar Pine Drive in regards to a CPS case. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case forwarded to CPS for review.

Coarsegold child pornography
On Sunday, Sept. 20 a deputy was dispatched to a residence within the 42000 block of Blackhawk Drive in Coarsegold, regarding a report of sexual child pornography exploitation. The victim was under 18 years old. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.
