Sheriff’s Crime Log Week of August 31

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally during the week of Monday, Aug. 31 through Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Aug. 31 at 7:51 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 in Oakhurst regarding the theft of a bicycle. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Case closed due to lack of suspect information or investigative leads.

Oakhurst assault
On Monday, Aug. 31 at 8 a.m. a deputy responded to the 40000 block of Highway 41 for a women reporting that she was the victim of a battery while living in a nursing home in Oakhurst. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Case closed due to lack of physical evidence and witness statements surrounding the circumstances of this incident.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Monday, Aug. 31 at 9:25 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a United States Post Office located in the 40000 block of CA-49 for a report of a vandalism. The suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

North Fork runaway
On Monday, Aug. 31 at 9:45 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 228 regarding a student who left the school on foot. Report written and juvenile entered into missing person system. Case to remain open.

Oakhurst lost wallet
On Monday, Aug. 31 at 12:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Hartwell Road and Highway 41 in Oakhurst for a man reporting that he lost his wallet. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst counterfeit money
On Monday, Aug. 31 at 1:28 p.m. a deputy responded to the Oakhurst sub-station to take a report for counterfeit money that was received at a garage sale. Evidence collected, report written, and case forwarded to the Secret Service.

Ahwahnee theft
On Monday, Aug. 31 at 1:38 p.m. a deputy responded to the Oakhurst sub station lobby in regards to a stolen leaf blower from the 41000 block of Road 600. Report written and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst warrants
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 7:32 a.m. a deputy on patrol conducted a subject check on a subject at Enterprise Dr and Hwy 41 in Oakhurst. The subject had a couple of warrants for his arrest and was cited on the warrants.

Coarsegold Coroner Case
Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 8:09 a.m.: a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold guns and ammo turned in
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst sub-station regarding someone wanting to turn in some guns and ammo for destruction. Items booked in and placed into property. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst domestic violence restraining order violation
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 12:36 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40300 block of Highway 41 regarding a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. The suspect left prior to deputy arriving on scene. Area check turned up negative. Report taken and sent o District Attorneys Office. Case to go to District Attorneys Office for criminal charges.

North Fork warrants
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 2:50 p.m. a deputy conducts a subject check on Rd 223 between Timberview and Taylor Ridge Rd. Subject had three warrants for his arrest. Subject was cited on his warrants.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 3:53 p.m. a deputy responded to the Oakhurst sub-station for lobby traffic regarding theft of a wallet. No arrests were made, report written and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 4:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business between the 40000 and 40200 block of Hwy 41 for a male subject arguing with his mom and causing a scene. Deputy arrived on scene and made contact with male subject who was causing trouble. This male subject was arrested for being drunk in public and was booked into the county jail.

Oakhurst burglary
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 4:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 620 regarding a burglary. Report taken. Case can be closed.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 5:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 Block of Road 426 regarding possible child abuse. Investigation concluded an argument between siblings turned physical when choice words were exchanged between the two parties. No charges requested by the mother. Forward case file to Madera County Child Protective Services for their information.

Raymond warrant
On Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 9:31 p.m. a deputy responded to the 32000 Block Of Front Street . A subject was contacted and found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was taken into custody and transported to DOC for booking.

Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 2:24 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 Block of Road 427 regarding a possible vehicle burglary. Investigation concluded that only two items had been taken from the vehicle and there was no physical evidence.

Coarsegold burglary
On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 8:17 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to 43000 Patrick Avenue regarding a burglary and vandalism to a school room at the Church. The suspect(s) broken in through a window and destroyed/ransacked the inside of the portable building and fled the scene. Refer report suspended until
further leads develop.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 2:29 p.m. a deputy responded to a residence in the 42000 block of Bridge Road regarding a residential burglary. The scene was processed for investigative leads with negative results. Report to be forwarded to detectives for informational purposes.

Oakhurst report of harassment
On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 2:24 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Road 426 in regards to an adult female requesting to report harassing phone calls from her boyfriend. An investigation was conducted and report written. This report is for documentation only.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 5:41 p.m. a deputy responded to a business in the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding a male yelling about having a bomb. Upon arrival, the male subject had left the area and was not located. The investigation is ongoing.

Coarsegold runaway
On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 8:34 p.m. deputies responded to the 29000 blk. of Corral Dr. for a report of a runaway juvenile. A report was generated and the juvenile was located and returned home. Report was generated for future documentation. Case closed.

Oakhurst arrest
On Wednesday, Sept. 2 at approximately 11:27 p.m. a deputies responded to the 31000 blk. of Cherokee Rd. for a report of a female screaming and glass breaking. Deputies arrived on scene and located an intoxicated female who was placed in custody and transported to the Madera County of Corrections. Arrest made and charges filed with the District Attorneys Office.

North Fork theft
On Thursday, Sept. 3 at 1:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 Block of Road 225 to investigate a theft of a firearm. Investigation was conducted and statements were obtained from the involved parties. Report is to be closed pending a lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst disturbance
On Thursday, Sept. 3 at 3:26 p.m. a deputy responded to an intersection of Road 426 and Bon Vue regarding two males in a physical disturbance. It was determined the two men were arguing over a female. Neither party requested charges at this time and the case is to be closed.

Oakhurst arrest
On Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6:13 p.m. deputies conducted a vehicle stop near CA-49 and West Lake Drive .During the investigation the driver was found to have an outstanding warrant and was placed into custody He was also found to be in possession of stolen property from a previously reported burglary. Subject was transported to the Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst person in distress
On Thursday, Sept. 3 at 8:42 p.m. deputies responded to the 40000 blk. of John West Rd for a report of a male subject cutting himself. Deputies arrived on scene and a case was generated for a mental evaluation. Subject was turned over to EMS and was transported to medical facility for injuries. Case closed.

Coarsegold disturbance
On Thursday, Sept. 3 at 8:21 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 29800 block of Corral Dr. for an out of control juvenile. Upon arrival all parties were contacted and the issue was resolved for the night. A report was taken for this incident.

Bass Lake vehicle damage
On Friday, Sept. 4 at 9:30 a.m. a deputy reported damage to the county vehicle 345. Case can be closed.

Coarsegold missing at-risk male
On Friday, Sept. 4 at 9:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Road 400 regarding a report of a missing elderly male who has dementia. The subject was located and returned home. The subject was entered and removed from the system. Close case.

Coarsegold runaway
On Friday, Sept. 4 at 11:07 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Corral Dr. regarding a report of a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was later contacted on this same day and placed in custody for a violation of probation. Report to be forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

Ahwahnee threat alleged
On Friday, Sept. 4 at 4:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence on 41000 Road 600 regarding a subject was threatened. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Friday, Sept. 4 at 5:25 p.m. deputies responded to multiple locations across Oakhurst in regards to multiple calls of two subjects in a Toyota Prius driving erratically and smashing mailboxes. The suspects were located and identified. Photographic evidence was collected. The case is being forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney for filing of charges.

Coarsegold warrant
On Friday, Sept. 4 at 5:50 p.m. deputies responded to the area of Corral Dr. and Corral Ct. for an intoxicated subject. Upon arrival it was determined subject had a warrant for his arrest. Subject was given a citation for the warrant.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 7:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Oakhurst View Court regarding the theft of some items from unlocked vehicles. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Ahwahnee vandalism
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 9:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Knickerbocker regarding some found mail. Mail was recovered and found to have come from the cluster mail box at Crooks Mountain and Highway 49. Mail was turned over to the Post Office in Ahwahnee for delivery. Case to be closed.

North Fork burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 11:26 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 58000 block of Rainbow Drive for a report of a theft. The suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Coarsegold vehicular fatality
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 12:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 415 and Road 416 for a single car vehicle accident resulting in the death of the driver. Report written and forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.

Bass Lake burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 2:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a Parcel/Residence located in the Cowboys Trail and Road 222 area for a report of a residential burglary. The suspect is unknown. There was no signs of forced entry to the residence. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Oakhurst burglary
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 4:03 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Fair Oaks Drive regarding a residential burglary. Report taken and scene processed. Case to be closed.

North Fork fuel theft
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 3:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to three residences located in the 58000 block of Road 225 and Lark lane for report of a theft of fuel from five different vehicles. The suspect in unknown.

O’Neals assault
On Saturday, Sept. 5 at 9:07 p.m. the victim walked into Community regional Medical Center in Fresno, CA with a large laceration to his arm. He told hospital staff he was hitchhiking in the area of CA-41 and Road 200 when he was stabbed. Investigation conducted and referred to the detective division for further investigation.

Ahwahnee burglary
On Sunday, Sept. 6 at 7:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Road 620 in regards to items stolen out of unlocked vehicles. An investigation was conducted and no arrests were made. Report written and case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Ahwahnee burglary
On Sunday, Sept. 6 at 1:43 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Road 628 in Ahwahnee in regards to possible stolen items out of a un-locked vehicle and shed. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst burglary
On Sunday, Sept. 6 at  4:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Lewis Creek Trail head parking lot regarding a vehicle burglary. Report taken. Case to be closed.

North Fork domestic violence
On Sunday, Sept. 6 at 4:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 58000 block of Road 225 regarding a cold domestic violence report. Report taken and an emergency protective order was issued. Suspect was not located. Case to go to District Attorneys Office for charges.

Oakhurst bicycle found
On Sunday, Sept. 6 at 5:27 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call of a found bicycle near the Oakhurst Library and Civic Circle in Oakhurst. Report written and case closed.
