Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Sept. 10

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Sept. 4 to Sunday, Sept. 10 2017.

Oakhurst citation and vehicle put in storage
On Monday, Sept. 4, at 8:17 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop in the area of CA 41 / Rd 632 which resulted in the driver being cited and the vehicle stored for expired vehicle registration. Forward to the Madera County Traffic Court for direct filing.

Oakhurst runaway juvenile
On Monday, Sept. 4, at 5:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Hartwell Roadregarding a runaway juvenile report. Attempts were made to locate the juvenile with no results. The juvenile was entered as a runaway. Report to be forwarded to detectives.

Narcotics arrest, citation and release
On Monday, Sept. 4, at 10:59 p.m. deputies conducted a follow up investigation in the area of Wild Iris Lane and Road 224 regarding trespassing. During the investigation three subjects were contacted and found to have misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County and were in possession of narcotics. The three subjects were arrested, cited and released on scene. Case closed by arrest.

Ahwahnee attempted burglary
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 12:30 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Wallu Lane regarding a residential alarm. During the investigation it was determined that an attempted burglary had occurred. There are no suspect(s) or investigative leads in this case. A report was written for documentation purposes.

North Fork felony warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 9:15 a.m. a deputy saw a male subject riding a motorcycle in the area of Road 225 and Douglas Ranger Station Road where a road closer was present. The male on the motorcycle pulled to the shoulder of the roadway and later ran from the area. The male was later located and found to have an outstanding felony no bail warrant. The male was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC on his outstanding felony warrant.

North Fork possible fraud
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 9:55 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding a possible fraud case that occurred on the 34000 block of Road 221. Forward case to detectives for follow-up.

Oakhurst theft of cash
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 10:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 regarding a theft of cash. A report was taken. No evidence. Close the case.

Oakhurst alleged elder abuse
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 11:25 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA 49 regarding elder abuse. A report was taken for cross reporting with Adult Protective Services. The claims could not be substantiated. Forward to Madera County APS.

Oakhurst warrant arrest after threats to volunteer
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 12:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA 49 / Worman Road in Mariposa County regarding threats to a sheriff volunteer. The suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant. The suspect was cited. Close the case.

Oakhurst felony threats and public intoxication
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 11:37 a.m. a deputy responded to a business in the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a local subject who was reportedly intoxicated. The subject was located and was indeed intoxicated and ultimately arrested for public intoxication and felony threats.

North Fork Coroner’s case
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 11:52 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Road 222 regarding a coroner’s case. Forward report to Deputy Chief Coroner for followup.

Oakhurst mail theft
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 12:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA 49 regarding a theft of mail. A report taken. Close the case.

Coarsegold juvenile danger to self
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 5:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Deer Trail Lane regarding a juvenile female who was combative and had cut herself. A protective hold was placed on the female. Close the case.

Coarsegold missing person located
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 6:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Winchester Way regarding a report of a missing person. The subject was located and confirmed to be okay. Report to be closed.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 7:36 p.m. deputies were patrolling the area of Road 233 in the town of North Fork during the Mission Fire when this area was closed to all non-emergency personnel. A male adult was observed walking in this area and he was contacted. During the contact he was found to have three misdemeanor warrants out of Madera County. He was arrested, cited and released for the warrants. He was escorted out of the closed area. Case closed by arrest.

Ahwahnee domestic disturbance
On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 10:36 a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Road 600 regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, I was told the suspect was gone, and the deputy was unable to locate him. A report was written and a PCD was completed.

Bass Lake narcotics found
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 1:02 p.m. a deputy responded to an address in the 50000 block of Road 432 regarding found narcotics. A bag containing a small amount of an unknown powder was taken and booked for destruction.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 2:07 p.m. a deputy took a Coroner’s report at a residence in the 30000 block of Yosemite Springs Parkway. Case report to be forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 11:39 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Miami Place regarding a possible person needing a mental health evaluation hold. Upon arrival, deputy was advised that the female subject was not at the location. Female was later located and placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Oakhurst fraud, weapon and narcotics arrest
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 5:44 p.m. deputies were dispatched to CA-41/Road 632 in regards to a subject known as a counterfeiter. Upon arrival deputies conducted an investigation and learned that the suspect was in possession of personal documents from multiple people. The subject was also in possession of a concealed dagger and methamphetamine. The subject was arrested and transported to MDOC without incident. Cased forward to Detectives for additional follow up.

Coarsegold drowning
On Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 6:53 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a drowning subject. Deputy responded code 3 and upon arrival found the subject had passed away. They were transported to the Madera County Coroner Office. This case is forwarded to the Deputy Coroner for further investigation.

Oakhurst Coroner’s report
On Thursday, Sept. 7 at 4:10 p.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Coarsegold found property
On Thursday, Sept. 7 at 9:46 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a found property report. A report was generated and the property was placed into the evidence system.

Oakhurst small children walking alone
On Friday, Sept. 8 at 11:21 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of Golden Ball Drive cross of Road 426 regarding two small children walking along a busy roadway. The juveniles were contacted and turned over to the parents. Forward the case to the Madera County Child Protective Services for review.

Oakhurst vehicle stop results in storage of vehicle
On Friday, Sept. 8 at 3:21 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop in the area of CA 41 / Rd 426 which resulted in the vehicle being stored for expired vehicle registration. Close the case.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Sept. 8 at 4:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a theft. A report was taken. Close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold driver cited, vehicle towed for storage
On Friday, Sept. 8 at 10:39 p.m. deputies performed a traffic stop in the area of Yosemite Springs Parkway and Running Deer Drive. It was determined the the driver of the vehicle had a suspended license among other traffic violations. The driver was given a citation for the traffic violations and released from scene. The vehicle was towed for storage.
