Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Oct. 29

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Oct. 23  to Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017.

Coarsegold stolen Ford F350 truck
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 4:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located within the 35000 block of CA-41, regarding a report of a possible burglary in progress. During the investigation it was determined a Ford F350 flat bed dually pickup truck was taken from inside a secured fenced in area. Damage to the fence was found as a result of the truck being used to ram the chain lick fence to flee the area. The estimated value of the damage was over $400. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads. The stolen vehicle was later entered into the NCIC, Stolen Vehicle System.

Oakhurst mental health evaluation hold
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 8:07 a.m.m a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Forest Park Lane regarding medical hold for mental health evaluation. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 8″20 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Rock Point Road regarding theft. Report written and case closed

North Fork burglary
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 8:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 56000 block of Manzanita Lake Drive in regards to a burglary report. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted and a statement was obtained. Currently, there are no suspect(s) or witnesses. Case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads/ evidence.

North Fork assault investigation
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 10:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Pinchot Drive in regards to an assault investigation. Upon arrival, the involved parties were contacted. This report was taken for documentation only.

Oakhurst report of theft in San Francisco
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 12:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Lane in Oakhurst regarding theft, which occurred in San Francisco. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst theft of medication
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 1:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding theft of medication. Report written and case closed.

Coarsegold deceased dog in pet carrier
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 1:10 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a remote location on Road 420 in regards to a deceased dog inside a pet carrier. A report is taken and two persons of interest have been identified. See narrative for details. Case to be forwarded to the detective division for possible follow up.

Coarsegold tresspassing, felon in possession of ammunition
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 7:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 43000 block of Wild Flower Court regarding possible trespassing with provided suspect descriptions. Upon arrival the area was checked and subjects were located nearby matching the given descriptions. A male subject was found to be on probation and a convicted felon. He was further found to be in possession of ammunition. The male subject was arrested, transported and booked for related charges. Case closed by arrest.

North Fork narcotics
On Monday, Oct. 23, at 8:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 54000 block of Road 200 due to a report of a subject coming in and out of the Shell Gas station who was said to be speaking nonsense and would not respond to questions.

Oakhurst woman shot in foot
On Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 4:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located with the 48000 block of Rock Point Road regarding a report of a female who was shot. During the investigation it was determined the location of occurrence was at a residence located within the 49000 block of Allen Road. The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to her right foot and was transported to a hospital, via ambulance, for treatment. The suspect was not identified at the time of this initial investigation. The circumstances of the shooting were questionable due to the reluctance of all parties involved to cooperate with the investigation. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Coarsegold welfare check on minor
On Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 11:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Delaware Road in regards to a welfare check involving a minor. A report was taken for documentation.

North Fork domestic violence allegation
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6:11 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 57000 block of Road 225 in North Fork regarding a female who had been beaten up by her boyfriend. A report was taken. The female wanted nothing done and requested a ride out of the area. The deputy transported the female out of the county. A report taken due to allegations of domestic violence.

Coarsegold missing juvenile
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7:57 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a runaway juvenile from the area of 30000 block of River Knolls Road. A report was taken. The runaways info entered into the system. Forward to detectives.

Coarsegold vandalism to mail box
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 10:59 a.m. a deputy was flagged down for a vandalism to a mail box cluster at Revis Road and Ranger Circle. A report was taken.

Coarsegold vandalism
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 11:34 a.m. a deputy contacted a female in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane  regarding a vandalism. A report was taken.

Coarsegold unsubstantiated report of child abuse
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 200 in O’Neals in regards to a possible child abuse. The child was contacted and it was determined there was no crime. A report was taken for documentation purposes. Close the case.

Coarsegold counterfeit bill
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 11:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a counterfeit bill. A report was taken and the suspect contacted. Forward the case to the DA for review of possible charges.

Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 3:31 p.m. a deputy served a warrant in the 29000 block of Horseshoe Drive. The subject with the active arrest warrant was arrested and booked into the jail.

North Fork violation of restraining order
On Thursday, Oct. 26 at 10:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Wintergreen Loop in North Fork regarding a violation of restraining order. A report was taken for documentation purposes only.

Oakhurst vandalism leads to neighbor’s warrant arrest
On Thursday, Oct. 26 at 12:31 p.m. a deputy responded to a call for service in the 41000 block of Lilley Mountain Drive area regarding a vandalism. During the investigation, the deputy interviewed a neighbor who had a local misdemeanor traffic warrant. The subject was cited on the warrant and released at scene.

North Fork warrant arrests and narcotics violations
On Thursday, Oct. 26 at 11:33 a.m. a deputy contacted subjects in the area of Hartley Road / Rd 221 which resulted in arrests for outstanding warrants and narcotic violations. The subjects were arrested and booked. Forward the case to the Madera DA for charges.

Oakhurst warrant arrest at motel
On Friday, Oct. 27 at 1:17 p.m. a deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 40600 block of Highway 41 at a motel, regarding guests who had been asked to leave the business but were refusing. The deputy located the subjects in question and both were subsequently arrested for out of county warrants. Both were cited and released at the scene without incident.

North Fork weapons and methamphetamine
On Saturday, Oct. 28 at 1:50 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle stop on Hartley Road and Road 200. The driver was arrested for being in possession of a loaded firearm and a usable amount of methamphetamine. The subject was booked at Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst 911 hangup leads to welfare check
On Saturday, Oct. 28 at 12:46 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49, due to someone calling 911 and then hanging up. A welfare check was completed. It was discovered that one of persons involved in a family dispute was on probation. Photographs were taken of knives and a report was written for documentation.

Oakhurst welfare check on juveniles
On Sunday, Oct. 28 at 9:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 42000 block of Old Yosemite Road regarding a report from Madera County Child Protective Services (CPS) of a possible child molestation and a request of a welfare check for the juveniles involved. During the investigation it was determined no sexual child molestation occurred. This case was written for documentation
and has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division and CPS for review.
