Sheriff’s Crime Log Through May 1

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, Apr. 24 to Sunday, May 1, 2016:

Bass Lake burglary
On Sunday, Apr. 24 at 1:06 p.m., a deputy responded to the 50000 block of Smoke Tree Trail regarding a possible burglary report. During the investigation it was determined unknown subject(s) took numerous items from the residence. Case pending further leads.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Monday, Apr. 25 at 8:45 a.m. deputies served a search warrant in the 48000 block of Road 620 regarding an indoor marijuana cultivation operation. Deputies arrested a suspect who was transported and booked at MDOC. A second residence on the property was also determined to be an indoor marijuana cultivation operation and associated with this investigation.

Raymond theft
On Monday, Apr. 25 at 9:28 a.m. a deputy received a telephonic report of a theft that occurred at Hensley Lake. No suspect information or evidence; close case.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Monday, Apr. 25 at 9:36 a.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Wyle Ranch Road  regarding to felony warrant service. A subject was arrested and booked in the county jail. Case closed.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Monday, Apr. 25 at 12 p.m. deputies serve search warrant in the 48000 block of Road 620 regarding an indoor marijuana cultivation operation.

North Fork warrant arrest
On Monday, Apr. 25 at 12:32 p.m. a deputy responded to the 33000 block of Cascadel Heights Drive regarding a no bail felony warrant service. A subject was arrested and booked in the county jail. Case closed.

Coroner’s report
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 2:16 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a coroners call in the 49000 block of Lake Manor Lane. An investigation was conducted and
it was determined the decedent died of unknown causes. Report forwarded to Deputy Coroner.

O’Neals report of fraud
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 10:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an address in the 28000 block of Beaver Creek Road in regards to a possible fraud report. Upon arrival, the reporting party was contacted. A general incident report is taken. This report is to be closed.

O’Neals vandalism
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 10:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 200 in regards to a vandalism report. A report =was taken for documentation and is to be closed. There are no suspect(s), witnesses or evidence in this case.

Coarsegold narcotics
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 1:33 p.m. a school principal advised the School Resource Deputy that a staff member found a glass smoking pipe on campus near the West sports field. The campus is located 31000 block of Road 400 in Coarsegold. The pipe was collected, photographed and later destroyed.

Raymond narcotics
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 11:07 a.m. a school teacher located a bag with a small amount of marijuana and a smoking pipe hidden behind a classroom. The teacher turned it over to the School Resource Deputy who was on campus for an unrelated matter. The narcotics were booked into property for destruction and the pipe was destroyed. The school campus is located at the 31000 block of Road 600 in Raymond.

Oakhurst social services
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 2:57 p.m. a School Resource Deputy was contacted by a Social Services worker regarding a student who was having difficulties at home and didn’t want to go home. Student talked to the Deputy and was later taken home to her legal guardian. The campus is located at the 50000 block of Road 427 in Oakhurst.

Oakhurst welfare check
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 6:04 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an apartment residence located within the 48900 block of River Park Road regarding a request of a welfare check on a male adult who lived alone. Reportedly the male had demonstrated an odd behavior and needed to be evaluated for his ability to care for himself. The male was found to be gravely disabled due to a mental condition and placed on a 5150 W&I, 72 hour hold. He was transported via ambulance to a hospital for evaluation and treatment. This case has been closed.

Bass Lake runaway juvenile
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 6:57 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 39500 block of Brier Place regarding a report of a runaway juvenile. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Division for follow up investigation.

Coarsegold arrest
On Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 7:46 p.m. a deputy was advised of a trespasser by security staff at the casino. Subject was contacted and placed under citizens arrest, transported/booked at Madera DOC, and charges to be filed with Madera D/A.

Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 2:43 a.m. a deputy working casino detail was advised by security of a subject who wanted to report a theft. Victim contacted, report taken, and report closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 10 a.m. a School Resource Deputy was contacted by a student who was depressed. The student told the Deputy she would hurt herself by cutting if she didn’t get help today. An ambulance was requested for a W/I 5150 transport. The campus is located at the 50000 block of Road 427 in Oakhurst. Report will be forwarded to Madera County Behavior Health for review.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 9:53 a.m. a deputy dispatched to a government building in the 49000 block of Rd 426 in regards to an attempted burglary. A report was taken. Close the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Neals rocket report
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 9:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 47000 block of Road 200 for a report of possible live fuze rocket found inside the residence. The Fresno County Sheriff Department sent out their Explosive Ordnance Unit (EOD) to inspect. No arrest was made. Case closed, EOD advised the fuze rocket was real, but no longer a danger.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 1:53 p.m. a school employee informed School Resource Deputy that a student tried to kill themselves yesterday but was stopped by a family member. Student contacted by Deputy and, after talking to the student and staff, determined the student was a threat to themselves. An ambulance came to the school and transported the student to Valley Children’s Hospital for a mental health evaluation. Report will be forwarded to Madera County Mental Health for review. The school is located at the 50000 block of Road 427 in Oakhurst.

Oakhurst report of danger to juvenile
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 3:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Boys and Girls Club regarding a report of a 13 year old male juvenile that was chased by an unknown adult male. The area was checked for the described suspect, with no results. There was insufficient evidence to substantiate a crime was committed. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst burglary
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 3:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 48000 block of Lazy L Summit Road for report of a residential burglary. No arest was made, the suspect is unknown. Case closed due to insufficient leads.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at midnight a deputy was dispatched to a local business in the area of CA 41 in regards to a suspicious subject. The subject in question was contacted and determined to have an outstanding arrest warrant. Subject was arrested and booked into jail. Close the case.

Oakhurst sex crime
On Wednesday, Apr. 27 at 8:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Greenacre Road regarding a possible sex offense. An investigation was started and a report was taken. Forward to detectives for further investigation.

Oakhurst report of missing person
On Thursday, Apr. 28 at 8:33 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 37000 China Creek Road regarding a missing adult. The subject went to the Oakhurst Library yesterday and has not been seen since. Reporting party is the step-mother and requested a report. Refer report closed as subject had come home.

Oakhurst report of cigarettes on campus
On Thursday, Apr. 28 at 9:12 a.m. a School Resource Deputy was advised that a juvenile student was in possession of cigarettes on campus. The school is at the 50000 block of Road 427 in Oakhurst.

O’Neals assault
On Thursday, Apr. 28 at 8:50 a.m. deputies responded to report of an assault in the 45000 block of Road 200. Case will be forward to the mountain detectives for identification of the
suspects and further investigation.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Thursday, Apr. 28 at 10:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding vandalism to the business. Per the owner she did not see anyone damage the front door. She requested a report for documentation. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Thursday, Apr. 28 at 2:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation regarding vandalism to a mail box cluster. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst theft
On Thursday, Apr. 28 at 3:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 49000 Golden Oak Drive regarding a possible stolen bike that was located. After further investigation it was determined that it was inconclusive that the it was the same bike that was stolen. Report for documentation. Refer report closed as the situation was resolved.

Oakhurst juvenile arrest
On Thursday, Apr. 28 at 6:26 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of CA-49 for an out of control juvenile hitting her mother. Deputies arrived and investigated the incident. An arrest was made and a report was written. Forward to the Juvenile DA for review and prosecution

North Fork domestic violence
On Friday, Apr. 29 at 7:35 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the North Fork Market in regards to a domestic violence incident. The suspect and victim departed prior to the deputies’ arrival. The victim was located and from her statement it was determined she was an aggressor. Forward the case to the Madera County District Attorneys Office for charges on both parties.

Oakhurst assault
On Friday, Apr. 29 at 11:35 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 40000 block of Winding Way for a report of an assault with a knife. The suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forward to the Madera County District Attorney to pursue the charges against the suspect.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Friday, Apr. 29 at 12:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Apartments off Victoria Lane regarding a report of a domestic disturbance. The involved male had an out of county misdemeanor warrant. The male was arrested and booked for the warrant. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, Apr. 29 at 1:09 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 48000 River Park Road regarding a subject who had threatened another subject. He was taken W&I 5150 due to his mental status and not making any sense. EMS transported him to MCH for mental health evaluation.

Coarsegold lost purse found
On Friday, Apr. 29 at 1:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a phone call for a report of a lost purse. The reporting party called dispatch on Apr. 30 and advised the purse was found. Case closed.

North Fork danger to self
On Friday, Apr. 29 at 4:55 p.m. deputies were dispatched to House Ranch Road and Road 200 to assist EMS with a combative patient. The patient was placed on a hold per W&I 5150 and transported to Madera Community Hospital (MCH). Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst fraud
On Friday, Apr. 29 at 3:31 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-49 regarding two checks stolen out of the victim’s vehicle near the Dollar Tree. Both checks were cashed at the Bank of America in Oakhurst a short time after. The victim claimed he did not cash either of the checks. Refer report to detectives for follow up.

North Fork narcotics
On Saturday, Apr. 30 at 1:23 a.m. deputies dispatched to the 33100 block of Willow Creek Drive regarding a male subject in the street yelling about a gun. An investigation was conducted and evidence was collected. A male and female were arrested. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Coarsegold theft
On Saturday, Apr. 30 at 7:34 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the area of Road 416 cross of CA 41 in regards to a theft of a vehicle at gun point. During the investigation two female suspects were identified and detectives were called out. A report taken. Warrantless arrest declarations completed for the female suspects. Forward to the detectives unit.

Oakhurst theft
On Saturday, Apr. 30 at 9:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 CA-41 regarding vandalism to a fence and two light panels were stolen. RP requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst public health call
On Saturday, Apr. 30 at 6:38 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 37000 block of Wortham Road regarding a public health call. Deputies arrived and conducted an investigation. A subject was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Coarsegold assault
On Sunday, May 1 at 10:07 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 43000 block of Road 415 for an aggrevated assault involving a vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and were unable to locate anyone involved in the incident. A report was written to document the incident. Documentation only

Oakhurst narcotics
On Sunday, May 1 at 11:53 p.m. a deputy conducted a vehicle check on a white Ford F-150 truck for expired registration and unsafe load on the 49000 block of Road 427. During the investigation, narcotics were found and the driver was arrested. A case report was written. Forward to the DA’s Office for prosecution.
