Sheriff’s Crime Log Through June 25

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, June 19 to Sunday, June 25, 2017:

Ahwahnee Coroner’s case
On Monday, June 19 at 10:15 a.m. a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This was a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Monday, June 19 at 12:39 p.m. a deputy responded to vandalism reported at the 39000 block of Road 425B. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst family dispute and child endangerment
On Monday, June 19 at 2:54 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of River Falls Lane regarding an adult female who was at the residence attempting to take a two-year-old away from her grandmother. While the deputy was en route to the call, the female broke a window in an attempt to take the child out of the home. This report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges of child endangerment.

Family disturbance and mental health evaluation hold
On Monday, June 19 at 2:54 p.m. a deputy dispatched to the 42000 block of River Falls Lane regarding a family disturbance. An adult female was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported by ambulance to a hospital for a medical and mental health evaluation.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, June 19 at 4:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Pierce Drive regarding theft. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst expired registration with vehicle towed
On Monday, June 19 at 7:23 p.m. a deputy conducted a self-initiated vehicle check in a parking lot in the 40000 block of Ca-41. The vehicle was found to be expired over one year and towed. Case closed.

Coarsegold assault
On Monday, June 19 at 8:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to assist EMS at the 30000 block of Seminole Drive. EMS received a report that a subject was being violent, with no further details. This report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

North Fork vandalism, threats and public intoxication
On Monday, June 19 at 10:35 p.m. a deputy was on routine patrol in a marked patrol car in the area of the North Fork Market located within the 57000 block of Road 225. A vehicle sped into the parking lot and came to an abrupt stop. Three males jumped out of the vehicle in an apparent argument. One male smashed out a window of the vehicle with his fist, walked over to some plastic crates that were stacked outside of the business and began throwing the crates into the parking lot. The male began punching the walls of the business in a fit of rage, causing injuries to his fists. The male reportedly had been consuming alcoholic beverages during the night and was intoxicated. Upon contact the male was restrained by deputies as he made threats against one of more of the deputies and struggled against them. He was placed into custody, transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries and later booked at the Madera County Jail. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office to the filing of related charges.

Coarsegold noise complaint and request for citizens arrest
On Tuesday, June 20 at 6:54 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 47000 block of Seminole Avenue in regards to a noise disturbance. Upon arrival the victim requested a citizens arrest. The suspect was cited and released on scene.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Tuesday, June 20 at 7:30 a.m. deputies were dispatched to Kennedy Road and Buck Run Lane for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of Kennedy Road. Upon arrival deputies made contact with a female inside the vehicle. The female was found to have two active misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. She was cited and released on the scene.

O’Neals warrant arrest
On Tuesday, June 20 at 11:03 a.m. a vehicle check resulted in the arrest of an adult male for a warrant out of Stanislaus County. The subject was arrested and book into Madera County Department of Corrections.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, June 20 at 3:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Lindsay Lane regarding a possible mental health evaluation hold. During the investigation it was determined the victim was a possible danger to herself and she was transported by ambulance to an acute psychiatric facility. Case to be closed

Coarsegold domestic threats
On Tuesday, June 20 at 4:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Apache Road in regards to a female wanting to report that her husband was making threatening statements. A report was written for documentation.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Tuesday, June 20 at 4:50 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 30000 block of CA-41 in regards to an intoxicated female that was causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a female who appeared to be intoxicated. The female was uncooperative, had slurred speech and was not able to maintain balance when she was walking. The female was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

Oakhurst simple assault
On Tuesday, June 20 at 6:02 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Manzanita Road in the town regarding an assault. Upon arrival an investigation ensued and a report was taken. Case forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for filing charges.

Coarsegold mental health evaluation hold
On Tuesday, June 20 at 8:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Seminole Drive regarding a female subject being violent. This incident originated as a request by EMS for assistance with a mental health evaluation hold patient. The patient was transported to a hospital for a medical and mental health evaluation.

Bass Lake warrant citation
On Tuesday, June 20 at 11:40 p.m. a deputy was patrolling in the area of Road 432 and Angel Falls when a vehicle check was conducted. A male subject was contacted and the deputy found the subject had a misdemeanor warrant out of Madera County. The male subject was arrested, cited and released on scene for the warrant. Case closed by arrest.

Coarsegold domestic disturbance and illegal squatting
On Wednesday, June 21 at 6:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 44000 block of Trabuco Road regarding a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, the subjects were determined to be illegally squatting on private property. One subject was cited for violating county ordinance code. Forward to the Madera County District Attorneys office for charges.

Oakhurst assault with broom
On Wednesday, June 21 at 11:15 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 48000 Manzanita Road regarding an assault. The landlord assaulted the tenant with a broom. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer to the DA’s office for charges.

Bass Lake minor in OHV injury accident
On Wednesday, June 21 at 2:07 p.m. a USFS Dispatch advised a deputy of a motor vehicle accident on Beasore Road at USFS Rd 5S40Y
near Mugler’s Meadow. The deputy responded to the area and located the involved subjects south of upper Chiquito Creek campground on Beasore Road. The 13-year-old patient was transported by family down Beasore Road until they met up with the Sierra Ambulance, fire, CHP and the deputy on the roadway. The patient had crashed his OHV motorcycle on the roadway and sustained injuries. He was transported by Sierra Ambulance to Valley Children’s Hospital for minor injuries.

North Fork domestic violence
On Wednesday, June 21 at 3:42 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 34000 block of Nielsen Road regarding a domestic violence incident. The involved suspect had already left the scene. This report is to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Bass Lake burglary
On Wednesday, June 21 at 3:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 41000 Block of Norby Lumber Road in regards to a residential burglary. A report was written.

Bass Lake burglary
On Wednesday, June 21 at deputy was dispatched to Schoolhouse Road in regards to a residential burglary which occurred on Central Camp Road. A report was written.

Oakhurst Coroner’s case
On Wednesday, June 21 at 9:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Road 426 regarding a Coroner’s case concerning a deceased male. Report to be forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner.

Oakhurst warrant arrest
On Thursday, June 22 at 2:59 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 for a possible burglary. An investigation was conducted and three individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants. All three were cited and released. Case cleared by arrest.

Oakhurst bike wheel theft
On Thursday, June 22 at midnight, a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-41 regarding a theft of a bicycle wheel. There were no suspect(s) or investigative leads in this case. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst theft from a vehicle
On Thursday, June 22 at 12:50 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 Block of CA-49 in regards to a theft from a motor vehicle. A report was written.

Bass Lake vehicle towed with expired registration
On Thursday, June 22 2:34 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop at Bluegill and Willow in regards to vehicle having expired tabs. The vehicle was towed for having expired registration since 2015. The driver was cited and released. Forward to traffic court.

Coarsegold fraud and recovered property
On Thursday, June 22 at 7:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 Block of Long Hollow Drive in regards to recovered property. A report was written and forwarded to detectives for follow-up.

Coarsegold vehicle stop and warrant arrest
On Friday, June 23 at 1:04 a.m. deputies performed a traffic stop in the area of Yosemite Springs Parkway and CA-41. The driver of the vehicle had a confirmed misdemeanor no-bail warrant from Tulare County. The subject was placed under arrest for the warrant and transported
to Madera Department of Corrections. A report for this incident was written.

North Fork burglary to shed
On Friday, June 23 at 8:38 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 56000 block of Road 200 regarding a burglary to a shed. There were no suspect(s) or investigative leads in this case. A report was written for documentation purposes.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, June 23 at 12:40 ap.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Victoria Lane in regards to a burglary. A report was taken. Suspend the case due to lack of investigative leads.

Coarsegold dine and dash
On Friday, June 23 at 12:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 regarding a dine and dash at a restaurant. Video surveillance shows two suspects entered the restaurant and left without paying. A report was written and the case remains open pending further investigation.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Friday, June 23 at 1:13 p.m. a deputy contacted a male subject in the area of CA-41 and Winding Way, who had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant. The subject was arrested and cited into the court. Close the case.

Oakhurst domestic disturbance
On Friday, June 23 at 2:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 Block of Junction Drive in regards to a domestic disturbance. A report was written.

Oakhurst vandalism
On Friday, June 23 at 2:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 Block of Maples Lane in regards to a vandalism to a vehicle. A report was written.

Bass Lake theft from boat with stolen car involved
On Friday, June 23 at 7:19 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 39000 block of Marina Drive regarding a theft of items from a boat. Upon arrival it was determined the suspects were contacted in a silver Mercedes Benz. After running the vehicle identification number it was determined the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Las Vegas. Four subjects were later found to be related to the vehicle. Two of the subjects were taken to jail on various charges and third was cited and released. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for charges.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Saturday, June 24 at 12:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA 49 for a suspicious subject. A male subject was arrested for being drunk in public and booked at the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges.

Oakhurst vandalism to vehicle
On Saturday, June 24 at 6:46 a.m. a deputy dispatched to a vandalism in the area of 40000 CA-41 regarding a vehicle vandalism. A report was taken. Close the case.

Oakhurst stolen vehicle
On Saturday, June 24 at 8:58 a.m. a deputy assisted CHP on a case located at the 40000 block of Hwy 41 regarding a stolen vehicle report. Report written, evidence obtained, and case forwarded to California Highway Patrol.

Coarsegold family disturbance
On Saturday, June 24 at 9:17 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Titan Drive in regards to a family disturbance. A report was written.

Coarsegold theft
On Saturday, June 24 at 12:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a theft. A report was written.

Oakhurst elder danger to self
On Saturday, June 24 at 12:56 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Blue Oak Lane for an elderly female who did not want her adult daughter around. The deputy determined the older female could not take care of herself and a protective hold was placed and she was transported to the hospital for mental health evaluation.

Coarsegold owner arrested for dog locked in vehicle
On Saturday, June 24 at 5:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a dog in a locked vehicle. The owner was located and arrested.
