Sheriff’s Crime Log Through July 2

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, June 26 to Sunday, July 2, 2017:

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Monday, June 26, a deputy responded to a delayed Coroner’s case with the primary physician stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death. This is a natural death case involving only a Coroner’s referral number.

Bass Lake allegation of child abuse
On Monday, June 26 at 1:31 p.m. a reporting party requested a Madera County Sheriff’s Deputy to document alleged claims of child abuse. Report written and case closed at the request of the reporting party.

Coarsegold Coroner’s report
On Monday, June 26 at 2:18 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Oonay Nation Road in regards to a Coroner’s investigation. Death appears to be from natural causes. Report forwarded to Chief Deputy Coroner for review.

Coarsegold theft of wood chipper
On Monday, June 26 at 2:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Jennifer Lane regarding a theft of a wood chipper. The stolen property was entered into the telecommunication system. There are no leads, case to be closed.

Coarsegold mental health evaluation hold
On Monday, June 26 at 3:45 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Brave Eagle Court regarding an adult female who made threats towards family. The involved female was transported by ambulance to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst dogs attacked by another dog
On Monday, June 26 at 8:33 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 40000 block of Redbud Drive regarding a report of pit bull dog that ran into the complainants’ residence and attacked their dogs. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County Animal Control Department for review and/or follow up investigation.

Oakhurst vehicle stop, no registration since 2007
On Tuesday, June 27 at 12:02 a.m. a deputy observed a vehicle traveling southbound on CA-41 near Hodges Hill Drive traveling about 50 MPH in a marked 35 MPH zone. The deputy initiated a vehicle stop and the driver pulled into the parking lot of the Dirty Donkey Tavern, located within the 40000 block of CA-41. During the investigation it was determined the driver had an expired driver’s license and the vehicle had not been registered since 2007. A citation was issued to the driver. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s office for the filing of related charges.

Oakhurst warrant citation and release
On Tuesday, June 27 at 3:01 a.m. a deputy contacted a male in front of the Oakhurst Cemetery on CA-41 near Civic Circle Drive. A record check revealed the subject had two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest. He was placed into custody. The arrestee was issued a citation and released from custody at the scene. This case has been cleared by arrest.

Oakhurst family disturbance
On Tuesday, June 27 at 10:47 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding a family disturbance. The involved male in the incident was arrested and booked on a out of county warrant. Case to be closed.

Bass Lake invasion of privacy
On Tuesday, June 27 at 10:13 a.m. a report of peeping and criminal invasion of privacy was reported in the Recreation Point campground. One male was taken into custody, this report will be forwarded to detectives.

Oakhurst assault
On Tuesday, June 27 at 11:40 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation lobby in regards to a report of an assault which occurred on Road 427. The victim is contacted and a statement is obtained. The suspect identity is unknown. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst bikes stolen
On Tuesday, June 27 at 12:48 p.m. a deputy responded to a phone report regarding a theft of bicycles that occurred in the 40000 block of CA-41. At this time, there are no witnesses or suspects. The victims statement is obtained. Case to be closed.

North Fork illegal grow
On Wednesday, June 28 at 12:05 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located in the 58000 block of Road 225 in regards to an illegal outdoor marijuana grow on private property. Upon arrival, the involved parties were contacted and statements are obtained. The marijuana plants are later
destroyed. Case to be closed.

North Fork dispute with arrest
On Wednesday, June 28 at 10:57 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 48000 block of Manzanita Road in regards to reports of a male subject yelling and threatening another subject. Upon arrival the subject was confrontational with the deputy and was physically restrained, then arrested. Forward to Madera County DA to pursue the charge.

North Fork domestic disturbance
On Thursday, June 29 at 10:12 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 50000 Road 200 in regards to a domestic disturbance. A report was taken. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for review of possible charges.

O’Neals fraud complaint
On Thursday, June 29 at 3:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 26000 block of Butterfield Stage Place in regards to fraud complaint. A report taken for documentation purposes. Suspend the case.

North Fork danger to self
On Friday, June 30 at 7:44 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Gilpin Lane in regards to a subject possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. Upon contact the subject was determined to be a danger to herself and a protective hold was placed. Case is to be closed.

Oakhurst violation of restraining order
On Friday, June 30 at 12:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 at the cross of Highway 49 for a violation of a restraining order. The male subject was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. Close the case.

Bass Lake warrant arrest
On Friday, June 30 at 4:40 p.m. a deputy contacted a subject outside a residence at the 39000 of Robin, who had an outstanding felony warrant. He was arrested and transported to MDOC where he was booked. Refer report closed.

Ahwahnee assault
On Friday, June 30 at 10:29 p.m. a deputy responded to the 44000 Block of Road 619 for a report of an assault. An investigation was conducted and a suspect was identified. The suspect could not be located and charges will be filed with DA’s office.

Oakhurst weapons
On Friday, June 30 at 9:37 p.m. a deputy investigated an incident regarding a brandishing of a firearm in the area of CA-41 and Road 426. A possible suspect was identified. This case is suspending pending further evidence.

Oakhurst burglary
On Friday, July 1 at 1:10 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Old Barn Way regarding an activated alarm. Upon arrival, an open door was found. It was determined there was possibly a theft of some clothing and a vandalism of some alarm equipment. A case report was written.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Friday, July 1 at 12:44 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a confidential location regarding a domestic incident. The Victim requested no charges filed at this time. Report taken for documentation. Refer report closed.

Oakhurst juvenile reportedly missing
On Friday, July 1 at midnight a deputy was dispatched to the block of 40000 Goldside Drive regarding a missing juvenile. Deputy was unable to locate the juvenile at this time. Report taken for documentation.

Coarsegold felony warrant arrest
On Friday, July 1 at 3:43 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 45000 block of Douglas Road South for a subject trespassing. Upon arrival and contact of the subject, it was determined the subject had a confirmed felony warrant out Bakersfield. The subject was placed under arrest for the warrant and he was transported to Madera County Jail for the warrant.

North Fork assault
On Friday, July 1 at 6:57 p.m. deputies responded to the 33000 block of Road 222 for a disturbance. After an investigation was conducted, it was found several subjects had been in a fight. There was a victim who sustained substantial injuries. Suspects were identified and one was contacted and arrested. Case forwarded to the DA’s office for charges to be filed.

Ahwahnee vandalism
On Friday, July 1 at 7:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 58000 block of Road 601 regarding vandalism. The subject was located and taken into custody.

Coarsegold public intoxication
On Sunday, July 2 at 2:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Pony Express Lane regarding an intoxicated male. The male was identified to have a felony no bail warrant. Due to some injuries the subject had, he was seen at a hospital prior to being booked. Case to be closed.

North Fork domestic dispute
On Sunday, July 2 at 9:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a business located in the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding a report of a domestic dispute. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s Office for the filing of related charges.
