Sheriff’s Crime Log Through Jan. 24

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Jan. 17 to Jan. 24, 2016:

Raymond Lost Keys
On Sunday, Jan. 17 at 6:49 a.m., a deputy conducted a transport from Raymond with a male subject who advised his car was broken down and needed a ride to Ahwahnee. After transporting the subject and dropping him off at Crooks Mt. Road and CA-49, the deputy noticed a set of keys located in the back seat of the patrol unit. A check of Madera Sheriff’s database, in an effort to return to keys to the male subject met with negative result.

Coarsegold Missing Adult
On Sunday, Jan. 17, at 5:42 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a large property residence located near the 30200 block of Hogan’s Mountain Road, regarding a missing adult who wandered off somewhere on the property. The adult was later located and returned home. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.

Bass Lake Burglary
On Monday, Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 55000 block of Lake View Drive regarding a cold burglary. The scene was processed and a report taken. Case to be suspended.

Coarsegold Assault
On Monday, Jan. 18 at 3:02 p.m, a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Klamath Ave. in regards to a domestic disturbance. An adult male was arrested on
Domestic Violence charges and booked into the Madera Department of Corrections. A case report was written and filed with the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst Theft of Medication
On Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 11:21 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Highway 41 in regards to a theft of medication report. No arrest were made and a case report was written.

North Fork Theft
On Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 11:33 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party regarding a theft that occurred in the 30000 block of Road 222 in North Fork. Report taken. Case to be closed.

Oakhurst Trespassing
On Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 4:53 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Highway 41 in regards of a subject who was trespassing and refusing to leave. An adult male was arrested and booked into the MDOC for unrelated warrants. An adult female was cited and released with a court date.

Ahwahnee Theft
On Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 9:28 a.m., a deputy conducted a telephonic report regarding a theft that occurred at the 43000 block of Metcalf Gap Road. There is no physical evidence and no leads in this case. Case to be close.

Oakhurst Arrest on Felony Warrant
On Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 9:03 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 51000 block of Ponderosa Way in Oakhurst to attempt a warrant arrest of an adult female. The
subject was contacted and subsequently arrested for the felony warrant. The subject was booked at the jail without incident. Case is to be closed.

Oakhurst Forced Entry to Assist EMS
On Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 11:30 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 50300 block of Meadowview Drive to assist Sierra Ambulance with a force entry into a residence. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with the caretaker and paramedics. They advised an elderly female who lives at the location had fallen on the floor near the front door and she was conscious and responsive. Forced entry was made into the house through the window on the front door. Paramedics rendered medical aid to the elderly female. Case to be closed.

North Fork Domestic Violence
On Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 11:02 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Dogwood Dr. in North Fork regarding a report of a possible domestic disturbance that occurred several days ago. The reported possible victim denied there was any violence. This report is for documentation only.

North Fork Identity Theft
On Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 3:25 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst substation regarding an identity theft case. An unknown suspect(s) was able to obtained the victim’s account information and made three unauthorized charges at a location in Hayward, Calif. The victim still has the bank card in her possession and has not been to Hayward for about 20 years. A requested copy of this report will be forward to Hayward P.D. for further investigation.

Coarsegold Theft
On Thursday, Jan. 21 at 9:47 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 30000 block of Longview Lane E in Coarsegold regarding a theft. There were no witnesses or evidence in this case. Case to be closed.

Coarsegold Harassment
On Thursday, Jan. 21 at 4:17 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of Texas Flat Mine Road regarding harassment that is occurring at a local high school. The reporting party stated her daughter was getting bullied by a boy at the school that occurred over a period of time from Christmas vacation to today’s date. She has contacted the school to resolve the issue. Deputy later responded to the school on 1/22/16 and made contact with staff. Staff advised they have spoke with the reporting party and were in the process of resolving the issue by speaking with the boy and his parents. Case to be close.

Oakhurst Deputy Hits Power Pole
On Thursday, Jan. 21 at 10 p.m., a deputy backed a patrol car into a power pole on Harmony Lane at Highway 49 during patrol shift, causing damage to tire and rear panel area.

Bass Lake Found Property
On Friday, Jan. 22 at 4:26 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Oakhurst Substation lobby to contact a reporting party regarding found property. Property was found at the day-use area at Bass Lake and was booked into property for safe keeping.

Coarsegold Kidnapping
On Friday, Jan. 22 at 8 p.m., kidnapping suspects were arrested by CHP after a short vehicle pursuit. MSO Detectives assisted CHP with interviews. Report
forwarded to the Madera County District Attorneys Office.

North Fork Shooting
On Friday, Jan. 22 at 11:49 p.m., a deputy responded to a shooting in the 32000 block of Road 222 in North Fork. After an investigation was conducted it was
determined that a male suspect fired six rounds from a 45 caliber handgun in the direction of individuals at the location. No victims of the shooting were identified. No arrests were made due to the fact the suspect is still outstanding. Report written and charges requested.

Oakhurst Death
On Saturday, Jan. 23 at 11:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 39500 block of Highview Drive in Oakhurst, regarding a report of a death. This case has been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office for review.

Oakhurst Vandalism
On Sunday, Jan. 24 at 8:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an apartment complex located within the 48400 block of Victoria Lane in Oakhurst, regarding a report of a vandalism. During the investigation the estimated value of the damage was determined to be less than $400. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
